7-Eleven

This 7-​Eleven is just like the others, but the location is modestly well done. It is on the path to Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus and close to the freeway. People commute by here all the time often without noticing from the suburbs.
It has a medium-​sized parking lot, but you’ll likely notice the big Redboxes. The selection is your typical with processed rubbish, 7-​Eleven brands and a couple conveniences. It might be a little bit of a larger store by their standards. I even once found deodorant after lacking, which is not good in front of a instructor that can write my recommendation, or not.
The line here is usually short, but there is somewhat of a construction worker element since these neighborhoods are on the rise. Some items are of good value, some are not.
For the most part, you can get in and get out. 7-​Eleven isn’t about the three minutes of diluted sophistication.

I like that this 7 – 11 is close to PCC, and the staff is friendly, but if I could shop at a plaid pantry or something I would rather do that. I’m grateful that this 7 – 11 is here, but if I had a choice I probably would stop somewhere else. And unfortunately I have this unhealthy love for those chicken and cheese taquitos. It’s terrible I know, but I just can’t help myself.

This place has always been here for me. It’s great for quick stops on the way to work and the way home.
I used to come here every Sunday for the Oregonian, that was until the Oregonian went up to over $ 2.
This place recently sold. I was sorry to see Mike and Vicki go but the new owners are doing some improvements with the place.
The price of the Big Gulp refills has went up but alas, what else hasn’t. Still, for $ 1.09 you can obtain a decent refill and avoid overpricing elsewhere. Let’s face it soda is a complete profitmaking deal and I should quit it simply for health reasons but I digress.
I like the addition of videos for purchase and the red box. That definitely adds to the appeal of the store.

These guys are the best. Friendly, stable, staff, clean store, great coffee flavors, always fresh. It’s Apu in the day, and Melanie in the afternoons, they always have a kind word and a smile.
