Big fan here. Been going to this store for 17 years now. Ever since I moved to this neighborhood. Super friendly and know what they are talking about. Fast and have everything I need. Forgot Home Depot and not finding anybody to help you or stumbling around a huge store. Ace is the place!

Here’s a quickie.
This place is HUGE. Whenever I’m in the middle of a home improvement and I’m missing something. I go here. They have tools, pipes, screws, paint, whatever. If you live in the area, check this place out. Has a ton of stuff.

Local? Friendly? Efficient? Yes. That’s what I need. Especially when I’m in a hurry to have a couple of copies of a house key made. I don’t want to do battle to find help at a large corporate big box.
This Ace is one of the most well-​kept I’ve seen. Seriously stocked up on merch. They have most everything you could need as far as hardware, paint, garden, electrical, plumbing and more.
Oh, and free popcorn!

This is definitely our «neighborhood» hardware store. It’s about .2 miles from my house, and has come in very very handy when we needed Fix-​a-​Flat, a snow shovel, hardware for the house and car, and cleaning supplies. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable and are always on hand if you have a question or can’t locate at item.
This shop is far from modern or glitzy but there’s something very old-​timey and welcoming about it that reminds me of my Midwest hometown. I like popping in here from time to time. They seem to have practically everything for the car, home cleaning & maintenance, toys, lawn and garden supplies, even fresh popcorn free (I think?) for customers. Stop in and see what you find that you had no idea you needed.

This place has almost everything. Im a fan of their large choice of specialty bolts… metric sized to be specific. Its Ace… so it wont have the best prices ever. but it will have strange hand tools for your garden, for example that most large retailers wont.

I have been patronizing this store for over a decade. Though I no longer live in the neighborhood, I save my ‘need’ list till I am on that side of town, they are that good.
What I like? A good selection of most everything you need from a hardware store. No lumber or live plants, but hardware, tools, and a great selection of fasteners. not Winks level there, but pretty darn good. A staff that has been there for a long time, and know what they got and how to use it. Their prices are competative with the big box hardware stores, and you can get in and out in a quarter of the time.. And where it is. The folks that work there are top rate. I can approach anyone on the floor and get a key made, two gallons of paint mixed, find that arcane tool that I don’t even know the name of, and get the right product to get rid of that funky fungus ring on my lawn.
The only downside? They dont have a store in my part of town. And who really wants to go to outer Southeast?
