My son has been at ASLC for over s year now and I could NOT be a happier parent. Since enrollment he has flourished in every way imaginable! He has recently graduated from the toddler room to the preschool and I’m very excited to see what big kid changes are up ahead. The staff has done an excellent job at potty training my son as well as teaching him basic things like putting on clothes and organizing his things, like putting his coat away. The school puts on shows and other events where the kids have opportunities for performing and its magnificent! I absolutely love this place

We switched our little one to ASLC, earlier this year, and he LOVES going to school. The kids have so much room to play, dance, read, do art projects, and eat lunch/snacks. Weather permitting, the kids are taken on daily walks and we love how our little one is experiencing so much diversity, in downtown Portland. Every parent knows the stress of finding a daycare for his/her child and Alder Street Learning Center is a wonderful facility and family. I am so happy that we are apart of this family, too.

My son has been at Alder Street for 18 months now, and he LOVES it. The teachers are great and the small class size really helps him. He is shy, but super smart, and they work with how he learns, letting him just be who he is. He participates at his level, and then jumps in when he’s ready. I feel so lucky to have found a school with so much love and compassion. Linda is the mother hen who takes care of everyone, and she is amazing at it. The art, the dancing, the singing — it can’t be beat. And at an affordable rate, too. I feel so lucky to have found this place.

Alder Street is a horrible place for children. My three year old son was just kicked out of school from there. A 3 year old. The director Linda refused a parent teacher conference to make a plan to keep him there. He was only there for a few weeks. What teacher and/or school refuses a parent/teacher conference AND kicks out a 3 year old? Clearly one who is terrible with children and at running a business. THEWOSRT school. They dont answer the phones during business hours or return phone calls either.

My daughter has been going to Alder Street for a year and she absolutely loves it there! The teachers are kind and caring, and they have great indoor/outdoor space. All the children are well adjusted and happy. Great tuition rate(cannot be beat for a downtown location) and they offer free parking for pick up and drop off. I cannot be happier!
