Allison Smith Design

Allison did a wonderful job designing and renovating my NYC alcove studio apartment. I was amazed how she was able to take 450 square feet and turn it into 4 different functional spaces (kitchen, living room, bedroom, dining room). It definitely made the entire space feel much larger and more like a comfortable home. She was also personally a pleasure to work with and showed much patience with me. I have zero creativity when it comes to design, and Allison was able to figure out what my tastes were and choose a design that fit my personality. It truly made me happy to come home every day. On top of it all, she was able to manage the entire project remotely, since she lives in Portland. She definitely made the whole experience easy. Even six years later, when a part of my sink faucet broke, I reached out to Allison about it and she contacted the manufacturer for me and had them send me a replacement free of charge. Six years later! You can’t get much better customer service than that. The next time I have a similar project, she is absolutely at the top of my list to work with.

Amazing results. I’ve worked with Allison on several projects and referred her to many friends. What I really love is how she makes remodeling so much fun. All the stress of project managing that goes with remodeling and buying a new home is immediately reduced when Allison shows up. Her color choices and furniture selections are on point. She keeps the contractors on schedule and makes sure everything is executed at the highest level. I can’t wait to work with her on the next project.
