The Alluvial Wall is basically a collection of metal strips on artistic par for the course. They do look nice and wavy. A long day with a group of people at the scrapyard might be enough to muster such a design. However, it looks beautiful as a grand tribute to our local forestry traditions.
I went up to it on the Portland Esplanade. It was worth a look at for about three minutes. There isn’t seating nearby. It wasn’t intricate with it’s lines, but it was intriguing, a bit entertaining if you will.
A trip to the Portland Esclapade is enhanced by visiting the Alluvial Wall.

It is a good thing there I plaque by this sculpture because other wise who would guess this represents the «interwoven layers of the river’s pre-​industrial alluvial geology»? It looks cool and is interesting to look at, Most people seem to just walk on by.
