Posted from someone else… Wow! DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY. We bought our ‘move in ready’ home and noticed in April that the carpet going down the stairs to the basement had little square chunks taken out of it all along the edge. I pointed it out to the builder and he said that George Regis would come out and look at it. When he FINALLY came out months later-after many non returned calls and no show-, he talked to my boyfriend and told him that it was«No problem to fix. That he would just stretch the carpet out and re-tack it down.» This seemed really odd to me because there is not any extra carpet to stretch, you usually cannot stretch carpet side to side but only up and down, and the chunks missing were about a half inch in measurement. I called George to talk to him about this and tell him my concerns. He was so incredibly rude and short with me, treated me with disrespect and actually tried to tell me that stretching the carpet would add years to the wear and tear. Seriously!!! Then he tried to blame me for the missing pieces along the edge. I told him that I wanted the carpet replaced, not half fixed. Then he got even more rude. We set up the following Monday for him to come. And just like I thought, he COMPLETELYNOSHOWED, NOCALL, NOTHING. I knew that this was going to happen, so I had a back up installer ready to go. When my carpet installer was finished, he gave me some of the carpet and said that this was completely an installation error. The carpet that George installed was installed with the salvage edge. My installer was bewildered. He said that every carpet installer knows to cut that piece off before installation. Both of us were amazed. I believe that George would not replace the carpet and wanted to half ass fix it because he used the very last of that type of carpet. He probably got it at cost and didn’t have enough to properly install correctly the first time and that is why he used the salvage edge. George of Alpine Floor Design is incompetent, rude, and does not stand by his warranty. I highly urge you not to use his services. If I could give zero stars, I would. Beware, beware, beware…
