Annie Beedy Photography

Annie photographed our Seattle wedding this past July. During the wedding — and leading up to the big event — Annie was wonderful to work with, flexible, relaxed, and attentive. As someone who does not like to be photographed, I felt surprisingly comfortable working with Annie. While she was busy at work snapping our wedding, she managed to capture the whole evening, while being completely non-​intrusive.
Her pictures turned out beautiful. She took amazing candid shots of everybody involved — guests, family, the wedding party. Her photos really captured the evening. All in all, working with Annie was a wonderful experience!

After an exhaustive search for the perfect wedding photographer, I found Annie through a Unilocal message board recommendation. Here is the original post:

She’s not your «classic» wedding photographer; she typically takes photos of Seattle rock star types and sort of off beat peeps, inanimate objects, animals… but if you contact her, you can beg and plead with her to do your wedding. You’d be so lucky!!! She’s amazing!
I was intrigued and her website drew me in further. We were looking for something a little nontraditional for our wedding (i.e. no frosted lenses or portraits of my family up a staircase). We loved Annie’s editorial style and ability to capture hidden moments. Once we met in person, I knew she was the perfect choice — she is such a sweetheart, definitely someone you could be around all day!
When the actual wedding day arrived, Annie was there on time and ready to work. I’m convinced she has samurai training — she managed to capture amazing pictures from nearly every angle, moving completely undetected by our wedding party. We were hit by a thundering rainstorm midway through our formal shots, yet continued seamlessly by moving to her indoor backup. Our portraits were beautiful, but more importantly, she captured hundreds of candid moments between our guests. Our pictures tell a story, perfectly reflecting the mood of our wedding. I will cherish them forever.
In case I’m just being nostalgic bride, here is what my father had to say as well:
«That’s probably the best documented wedding I’ve ever seen. She’s got a great eye for composition and color. It’s not easy to get candid shots where people don’t look like zombies or somehow out of kilter. She did it repeatedly. People look natural and wonderful. She is worth every penny of her fee.»

Annie is a dream to work with. Her photographs are so creative and beautiful, and her ability to capture the spirit of the moment is uncanny. She does all types of photography — weddings, pet photography, family portraits, creative photography, etc. She is very careful and considerate during her shoots, always making sure that everyone feels comfortable and is having fun. That’s not always easy when you are working with kids!
We definitely recommend her for weddings!
