Basic Rights Oregon (aka BRO), the state’s leading legal advocacy group for the LGBT community, is the headquarters to some phenomenal super heros. seriously, someone should tell marvel comics that they should look into BRO for their next multimillion dollar comic book franchise.
BRO is the vanguard for the pro-​equality movement here in Oregon, as well as a shining example of how to get sh*t done across the country.
They keep fighting the good fight, have gotten domestic partnerships on the books, made schools safer for all children, and are forming amazing coalitions with other organizations and movements to make Oregon a better state for all of us.
And they’re not losing steam anytime soon — keep an eye out for 2012, when the staff, the volunteers and the supporters will ensure that full marriage benefits will be something that EVERYONE has equal rights to.
