I feel compelled to write a review of Bayside Print Services for two reasons: 1. The only review listed is an incoherent ramble from a person whose name is actually a gender — and it doesn’t address anything that makes sense in any way at all. 2. Bayside Print Services is the best print shop I’ve ever dealt with in fifteen years of doing a lot of writing that requires printing services. Over the years I’ve self-published a number of zines and books and finding a printer is always a hassle. Either they refuse to personalize, or they have asinine minimums(what zine-maker wants 1000 copies of their zine printed?) Sometimes I have found printers who seem incredibly helpful and supportive only to find that they’re charging more than it would cost to get it produced as a bound, hardcover book(no paperback book should cost $ 15 to have done at a print shop, no matter how few I’m ordering). Bayside Print(and Charlie especially) have been up front with me and helpful with every single project I’ve brought them. They give me a quote up front without any hassling, they let me know if I could likely find a better price elsewhere on a specific task, and they are willing to deal with my odd specifications(I like making off-size booklets and they not only don’t hassle, they work with whatever I ask for). In Portland, I searched high and low, and found no other print shop that was as reasonably priced and as incredibly helpful as Bayside. And even though I don’t live in Portland anymore, I still have all my printing done there because I haven’t even been able to find a comparably high quality place in all of Boston. This is the best print shop I’ve ever been to, hands down.
