Terrible service and they are never busy. These things go hand-in-hand. Too many employees with nothing to do, you would think that they would be begging for walk-in business.

The owner promised me a refund, and I’ve called over 8 times(spoken to her at least 3 times), and still no actual payment… ugh, what a waste of my time… and apparently money.

I had been buying Aveda products here for years before I finally booked a service. I started with just a brow arch, then moved on to color. I wanted to go lighter, and although they recommended a complex(and expensive) process it really worked. Now I come back every four weeks for color(my choice, I have a LOT of grey), brows, and pedicure. The great thing is I can get my toes done while my color is setting, very important for a busy gal like me. Recently my colorist there left, but she hooked me up with Kris who did a great(better) job with my hair and even did my little girl’s hair. Downside(and it’s a big one) — no restroom. If you have to pee while your color is setting you have to walk through a cold open air courtyard to get to a public bathroom. ick.

Alright I have waited to write this review for several reason the most important of which is I had gift certificates to use up. The positives It’s close The first dye job I had was great The negatives The owner is RUDE They are over priced &THEN they over charge ta’boot The worst part about my experiences there was the last one; I had a cut & color done and was talked into changing up the color I wasn’t loving the options she gave but I was assured it could easily be fixed if I didn’t like it. So I went for it. The cut was TERRIBLE, I got over charged, and when I got home I realized my cut was more of a wreck then i first thought plus the color was BAD. So I called to ask to get in ASAP to have it corrected and was told I couldn’t be seen until the next week. I explained again that I would be out of town so they let me know they would see me when I got back — if they had an opening. EXCUSEME, you gave me jacked up hair & you want me to live with it for 2 weeks. Guess where you can go? Needless to say I won’t go back & would recommend anyone who cares about what they look like not to go either.

don’t know what has happened to this salon. I have been an on and off client of Nancy’s for the past two years and have seen such a decline in service I will never go back. This last haircut I received was one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. I could have gone back and complained, but there is nothing that can be done except grow out these horrible, uneven layers. Nancy had someone else wash my hair and did not even look at it dry before she started cutting. Then, she walked away from my haircut twice to help someone at the counter. I told her to leave my hair all one length around my face because my hair is so fine, and she totally disregarded my request and layered it all around. When you spend good money to go to a salon and have your haircut you expect the person to give you their full attention and listen to you. This does not seem to be the case at Bellamar Salon.

I have only had nail services here and they are ok. Not super, but ok. I don’t like their pedicure chairs at all, the bench is very shallow so you feel like you’re constantly balancing yourself on the edge. Not very relaxing. I’ve had a couple of good manicures with Jessica, I recommend her highly. All in all it’s an ok neighborhood joint but not a destination spa experience. And I think their prices are a bit on the high side.

After going there for a couple of years, I had to break it off. Although the staff is very friendly, the last 6 times I have been there have been experiences I would like to forget. Four out of six shirts I have worn in the last six times Ihave been ruined with bleach(this has never happened to me at any other salon experince in 20 years). Additionally, in 3 of the last 6 visits the stylist did not wash out all of the color and left bleach on my hair. The first time this happened, my hair felt funny once it dried and then proceeded to break off. The second and third time this happened, I felt my hair after it was washed and let them know that they did not wash out all of the color and to wash my hair again. These are the types of things I expect out of a SuperCuts, not an Aveda salon. The straw that broke the camels back was the funny, overbleached circle that appears on the side of my head after they colored it. What the heck is that? I am not sure what has happened in the last year — but I would not recommend going here.
