Another sporting goods store with 0 — a laughable selection of archery Supplies. The Archery Gear was literally 1 rack of supplies and a few nice looking Cross-Bows. Mostly kids stuff and a few things for adults that was mostly very over priced arrows and some tips(tips sold separately). The 1 and only Archery Targets they sell was a little cheaper than at most stores but not enough to drive across town for.

Don’t come here if you can. The people working don’t know what there talking about and will waste your time. Spoke with two different managers who told me two different things in regards to buying a shotgun from here. How many managers do you need guys? Your stores 10,000 sq ft and fairly slow… Train your employees better so you don’t make customers like me never come back.

This Big 5 store is easy to get to, right off a major ramp from I-205 and near the intersection with SE122nd … you know that street, the one where it seems ALL of the car dealerships are Ron Tonkin franchises. At any rate, this place is so darn reliable. I usually come in here before going on vacation. Good values are always available. I find flip flops, swim trunks, those slip-on water shoes, sunglasses, and then some. I typically have a list before I go into stores. However, at Big 5, I will find other things that are a deal that I will buy, such as gym wear, tennis shoes, t-shirts, and more. The best value of all, however, is their selection of tennis shoes — sale prices on good Wilson or FILA tennis shoes for $ 34.99, or even $ 29.99. The people who work here are really helpful. Their prices are better than those of other sporting goods chains I’ve been to, though Big 5 is not a mega store like the others by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe that’s how they retain their price advantage over the others. Thank you to this store, and to others I’ve patronized, such as Culver City, CA, Citrus Heights, CA, and Chico, CA. I grew up with them. It’s nice to see that Big 5s are a constant. Culver City is where I used to buy tennis racquets, balls, and all that stuff(what can I say, it was sunny almost every day and there were lots of free courts) and it’s still there! Citrus Heights has periodically sold me some nice casual apparel and once even a whistle and a pocket knife which I kept in my backpack should I encounter a mountain lion face to face on a trail.(I heard they hate loud noises, so I thought I’d start with the whistle and then escalate things). Yes, I know that’s quirky. I will continue to patronize Big 5. They are found in many Western states. In metro Portland, this is my Big 5 store of choice.

I like this store well enough! Nice staff, cheap shoes, and nice selection of sunglasses. I picked up a great pair of puma shades for $ 20. I love them!

Store staff are really nice and try to be helpful; but inventory is very limited at this location.
