Blaze Streaming Media

For the purpose of utter transparency I’d like to begin this review by stating that I recently worked on a Blaze Streaming Media event at PSU as a camera operator back in Dec. of 2010. Now I’ve crewed on quite a few live events as a cameraman and yet the experience of working with Blaze stands out in my mind as being one of the smoothest events I have ever been on. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and capabilities this company has, they put together a flawless multi-​camera HD livestream video feed with relative ease. Not only did they run an excellent show for the conference attendees I was happy to work on a crew that had their behind the scenes communication and coordination totally down.
From a client perspective I would recommend hiring these folks to take on a live event of any sort in an instant, they are top notch technicians with a real passion for providing crisp and clean HD streaming video and they are also really friendly and nice folks to work with which is a total plus in my book.

I have been working in professional video for 10 years now. Joe contacted my partner and I about working at a conference he was booked to do in San Francisco. I am always a bit nervous when working for a new company as the experience can range from well-​oiled to horrific. Joe absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. He had all the necessary kit (and then some), the proper staff hired and on site plenty early, and a calm, professional, organized demeanor. He knows all of his gear in and out and has the experience and the professionalism to set it up and run it with ease.
We were doing a live webcast for a large conference here in SF and Joe ran two crews in two separate rooms without blinking. I believe that he specializes in live webcasts and/​or live video mixing, but he has a very nice HD video camera setup that would do well for almost any event I can think of. If you are in search of a professional video company in Portland, do yourself a favor and call Joe at Blaze. As someone who has worked with more video production companies than I care to recount, I can confidently say that he will make booking and managing event video the most streamlined, quality experience you could ever hope to have. (and no, he didn’t ask me to write this, I just sincerely had such a great experience with him that I wanted to tell the world about it!)
