Solid coffee place. Stumptown beans, marzocco machine, nice vibe with wooden furniture. Add single origin shots and more pastries and that place is a 6 stars, easy… For now, I would stop by if I am in the neighborhood

I went here this morning for the first time(1÷13÷16) I was on Swan Island and searched Around Me to find the nearest non-Starbucks coffee shop and was directed here. It was very close and very cute. And VERY unfriendly. The woman behind the counter had absolutely zero customer service skills. She didn’t smile. She didn’t say Thank You. Nothing. I’m not looking for someone to change my life nor do I want to have a full conversation, but when I pay $ 4.80 for a cup of coffee, I’d like a warm smile and a Thank You. Is that too much to ask? Come on, people, BEFRIENDLY!

I want to like this place more. I’ve been here a dozen or so times so I feel like I can legitimately review it now. Ambiance: It’s gorgeous in the main seating area, I love the décor and giant windows. I do like coming here for working on stuff. The generic coffeehouse hits music station that always seems to be on is not my fave, nor is it contributing to the ambiance. Coffee: The coffee is brewed well and delicious, but I think they use stumptown coffee often(not very portland anymore now that they’ve been bought out twice). The coffee is 50 cents to a dollar more than it is sold for in other coffee shops around town, and an in house refill costs the same as a cup.(I can only speak to regular coffee not specialty coffee drinks) Food: The egg sandwich on gluten free is really tasty, but it is small and costs almost $ 7 and feels overpriced for Portland. Last time I had it it was a bit rubbery(usually indicative of microwave use, but I can’t say for sure that they use these here). That said, this is the only coffee spot on Killingsworth between Albina and Greeley that makes egg sandwiches so it’s a win for them. However, spending 10 bucks(before tip) on a simple egg and ham sandwich on tiny gluten free bread with a single pour of coffee is still something you could get cheaper and with more pizazz in other neighborhoods. Service: Not the friendliest bunch that works there. They may just be quiet, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt there — but it’s the kind of quiet that comes off as pretentious sometimes. This is NOT a bubbly barista spot. At all. Bottom line: Decent but overpriced, consistent, great workspace and location, I’ll come back, but I don’t expect it to be mind blowing awesome.

I live within walking distance from some of Portland’s best coffee shops(Extracto, Barista, Case Study, Random Order), yet Blend is one of the few coffee places in Portland I would actually drive to visit. Great coffee, friendly staff. I was charmed by a local neighborhood gem of a place with outstanding quality that is off the beaten path.

We tried Blend because it was within walking distance from where we were staying in Portland and it was nice enough, but in a city with a ton of good coffee shops, I felt there were much better options.

Love this place! Adorable, great breakfast sandwiches, and now they have Happy Hour! It’s a little pricey for just a cup of coffee, but worth it for the ambiance.

Absolutely loved my experience here! The coffee was fantabulous and the environment was urban yet peaceful. Being from our of town, I will definitely make this a must-stop place next time in town.

Positives: Good coffee, nice light, enjoy the featured artists/art Negative: Hipster vibe, not friendly or even cordial the last time I was in(yesterday). In the past I felt their attitude was«tolerant» towards my kids, yesterday it was plain rude and I felt like I had to get us all out of there as quickly as possible to escape the cashier’s judgment — I was clearly wasting her time and ruining the hipster vibe by bringing in my happy, eager children. While I have tried to spread my coffee visits among the neighborhood coffee shops I will be going to Arbor Lodge more often.

I recently visited Blend for the first time and loved it. I had a delicious medium sized almond milk latte(enjoyed in house) for $ 4.50. The baristas were super nice, and the industrial chic space manages to feel expansive and cozy at the same time. Seating options range from communal style, to high chairs along the window, to comfy armchairs, and some outdoor seating. There was even a knitting group there when I visited on a Friday afternoon — how adorable is that?!

When first entering Blend Coffee Lounge, I didn’t know what to expect. They have a very unique design and layout of their coffee lounge. It was pretty cool, but I i review places based on their service and food! YOUKNOWWHAT? This place was pretty damn good. The lady who took my order was extremely nice and helpful. Their actual menu itself was pretty cool. I ordered an horchata latte which was tasty and full of flavor that didn’t taste artificial. I’d recommend this coffee shop as a must see in Portland.

So I’m currently here for spring break and I always like to go to a new place to eat breakfast, etc and I decided to go to Blend Coffee Lounge. Once I got there I liked that they had a wide variety of food and coffee. The people were nice and helpful. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a harvest moon to drink. Would definitely go there again.

The absolute best coffee I’ve tasted in a long time. Very smooth blend with minimal bitterness. I had the caramel macchiato and it was delicious :) Staff was friendly too!

Yeah! Another great study spot(minus the slow wi-fi). Nicely finished concrete floors, cool repurposed tables, great light, nice outside seating areas and the cold-pressed coffee tastes really, really good,(almost like a burnt tea). Bagels, hummus, oatmeal and cookies are available… Came here after going to the Adidas company store with a friend.

When I worked at adidas, there was no Starbucks nearby. That was okay because it forced me to visit Blend Coffee Lounge. It definitely gets a lot of traffic from adidas as it’s about a five minute walk from the campus to the shop. They’ve recently remodeled the establishment and it looks fantastic! Everything is wooden and the walls are straight concrete. There is more seating to the left of the main entrance and I think it’s really cool that they have outlets on the seating bench. No need to extend your laptop cords across the table and interfere with someone else’s visit. It’s got such a modern look and is super cozy to get work done, yet quiet enough to have an intimate conversation with a friend. The employees are always super friendly and the owner was very personable during my last visit. I’d be surprised if someone found something bad to say about this coffee shop.

If it’s 20 degrees outside and you want to feel snugly and warm and hold a hot cup of heaven in your hands and to your lips… then get in here right meow!!! Not that they aren’t good when it’s warm outside… But my visits here have always been in the winter because, well warm lattes in the winter is obviously amaze balls. They have a few specialty drinks(by specialty I mean it’s not your standard latte or macchiato). Today’s visit we had the Honey Badger and the Harvest Moon. They were just perfect! Beautifully made drinks. Pretty presentation with prefect, not too sweet tastes. I left feeling satisfied and cozy inside. While sitting there sipping our cups of liquid gold, we had a conversation about how even if we had an equivalent espresso maker at home and the know how to use it, it would just never be the same as what we were drinking in this coffee café on this cold, blistery day. Thanks for warning me up for about 45 min, Blend. You’re real swell and thank you for being a friend :-)

If I lived in the North, I think I’d be here a lot. They make a good cup of coffee. The architecture/design is very appealing, and the ambiance is exactly what you’d want in your neighborhood coffee shop. There are bountiful outlets, at basically every table. The baristas are out of place for Portland, in that they’re great. The only downside was the bathrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, shared with the restaurant next door. One is out of order, and the other was a bit unkempt. Aside from this, Blend is a great café.

I stumbled upon Blend while on a walk with my dog and I was very happy I did! The baristas here were very nice and allowed me to bring in my dog since I didn’t want to leave her outside. The interior was cool and very comfortable looking with modern, sleek design elements. It was also pretty quite with tables for 2 or 3 people and other for larger groups. I ordered the«Inspired by Horchata» drink for $ 4.50 which was really good(about 12 oz)! They serve Stumptown coffee which I love so no problems with how the coffee tastes. Overall I think Blend is a little pricey, but I could see myself coming back every now and again.
