I had the most incredible time at the 2 Jai Ho dance parties I’ve attended (at Dante’s Inferno & Red, White & Bollywood at the Barrel Room). I met really nice people & I really enjoyed the high energy music & dancing. DJ Prashant is an excellent dance teacher & entertainer. I will definitely be going to every event that I can

I can’t gush enough about Bollywood Dreams. Every event is so professional and fun. DJ Prashant is a beacon of light and energy. When someone loves what they’re doing, it’s just contagious. The color festival this year at Dante’s was a moment with my friends I’ll cherish for you years to come! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I took my first dance class from Prashant five years ago as part of a workshop at Portland State University. I had never taken a dance class that is more inclusive and joyful — I was instantly hooked! The parties he DJs are no different. Whenever I invite someone new to attend, they always leave grinning ear to ear. Prashant has the ability to make anyone dance, and his passion comes across loud and clear in everything he does. I have been assisting with his dance troupe and parties for a few years now and could not speak highly enough of his work ethic. Bollywood Dreams is your best bet for Indian culture and entertainment in the Pacific Northwest!

The best Bollywood parties in the Pacific NW, hands down. I’ve worked with Bollywood Dreams and have been going to these parties for over 4 years, and they’re always so much fun. Prashant is a wonderful teacher, and makes everyone feel welcome. What drew me to the parties in the first place was that he teaches everybody to dance to Bollywood and Bhangra, and makes everyone feel welcome, no matter your dancing skill level. I highly recommend his parties to anyone. And if you want to learn how to dance to Bollywood and Bhangra, check out his awesome classes. =)

I’ve been taking classes from Prashant for last 18 months. As a person who grew up watching and dancing to bollywood, I I really appreciate Prashant’s teaching style and technique, as well as the warm and open environment that he fosters in the class. He strikes an excellent balance between straight-​up choreography and improvisation, so that people of all level’s find the choreography fun to learn.
He hosts the best Bollywood parties in Portland and Seattle. His music and DJ’ing style connects to people of all origins. He is also a great entertainer, the dance lessons that he gives in the parties prove that! I highly recommend his parties to anyone and everyone who wants to have a great time.

Guys — this is the least possible rating that is available here & that the reason this fellow is able to get a single star. Worthless going there, going to his shows, joining his classes etc. Quality of dance is too bad, song selection as a dj is horrible.
During dj parties he & his team struggle to find good peppy dance numbers.
I have worst experience visiting him, i’l never go there again.

I’ve taken beginner bollywood/​bhangra classes from Prashant, and also danced several times at his end-​of-​the-​month dances at the Crystal Ballroom, on MIssissippi, and now at the regular gig at Holocene.
I especially liked the dance the one time on Mississippi as the venue was comfortable and not too clubby. Holocene feels cold and loud.
Prashant has a great personality, is very accessible, and really knows how to get the crowd involved and trying his choreography. He is just a natural entertainer, and an excellent teacher.
I remember looking for Bollywood and Bhangra dancing in Portland in the mid-90’s…only traditional dancing from Orissa was available. I’m thrilled Prashant has brought the greatest music of all to Portland!

I go to their dances all the time. Prashant is a gifted teacher and a great entertainer so he really gets the crowd going and everybody has lots of fun. He is also a very fun wedding DJ as well.

After an exhaustive (and exhausting) search for an Indian /​Bollywood DJ in the Seattle area for our Mehndi (pre-​wedding traditional Indian party), we found DJ Prashant. We were fortunate to be able to book Prashant for our Mehndi, even though he is based in Portland, Oregon.
Thanks to Prashant, we and our guests had the time of our lives! He played excellent Bollywood music that kept the dance party going all night long. My family is American and my husband’s family is Indian, and everyone felt comfortable dancing and getting out of the floor. We even asked Prashant to do a group dance lesson to «Jai Ho,» which was a huge success.
