I wish I could give ZERO stars!!! My mother was in search of a car. A family member reccommended TNT Auto to her. The week of April 17^th, She took her car and a few hundred and traded up to a Lincoln LX. She did everything she was supposed to do as the buyer. Two days later realized that the odometer and spedometer didnt work. She had her mechanic look at it and he told her the car wasn’t safe to drive. The brakes were bad, the wrong caliper had been put on and alot of other issues. Her birthday was April 24^th. Im still livid that on her birthday, she was stranded on the side of the road on the way to church, because the car kept overheating. TNT claimed they put a new thermostat in??? Then they sent the mechanic to come get the car and supposedly «fix» the problem that week. After another week of problems, overheating and being stranded mom took it to the Lincoln dealership. They gave her a laundry list of issues with the car that should have been disclosed. The dealership mechanic told her DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! So she called the finance company (Who already paid Tancy (Owner of TNT) for the car) and told them to come get their car. Tancy told her they can fix the issues as she gets the money for the parts… LOLOLOL
I wouldn’t let that mechanic touch my kids’ bikes. Here we are less than a month later…
Mom went and got her old car back, give him a cookie since he replaced her plates.
Tancy wouldn’t have put HIS MOTHER in that POS car and I’m offended that he did it to mine. He put her life in danger with faulty brakes and other mechanical malfunctions, he wouldn’t have done that to his mother, daughter, sister or wife– why do it to mine??? If my mom was a man, this wouldn’t have happened…
2 of my daughters and my brother have bought cars from other places in the past 3 weeks that cost less and run perfectly! TNT/​Tancy scammed my mother. Went to look at a 2008 Mazda 3 that was advertised as having 100,000 miles, with the ad having been posted less than 48 hours prior. When I arrived and the salesman let me look in the car, I observed the actual mileage to be over 105,000. This is a transcript of the following conversation I had with the salesperson:
ME: Why did the ad say 100,000 miles? This has 105,000.
SALES: Ah, you know, you take it out…
ME: You put five thousand miles on the car since the ad was put up?
SALES: No, no, you know, we just put it up there, *incoherent mumbling*…
ME: Don’t you have somebody who runs the website properly?
SALES: No, we’ve got a guy who’s pretty good…*more incoherent sounds*…look, you’re gonna quibble over five thousand miles?
ME: Yeah I’m gonna quibble! That’s like an entire oil change worth of miles!
SALES: Well then maybe this isn’t the car for you.
ME: Yeah, I think maybe you’re right.
End conversation. So not only are they terrible at selling cars, they aren’t even good at being dishonest. Amazed that this place is still in business.

While driving down Powell, my radiator hose broke and the car overheated. I caught it quickly and pulled into the mechanic’s garage in the TNT Auto Sales lot on 3234 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97 202. They wanted to charge me $ 2000 to replace the head gaskets in my engine. It took me four days to figure out that there was nothing wrong with my car. Of course I rented a car during that time while gathering information, and paid them $ 70 to repair the ORIGINAL radiator hose (not replace it with a NEW one, plus use my own coolant that I supplied)! I took the car to another mechanic that said there was nothing wrong with the car. It has been running fine ever since. Apparently, this sleazy mechanic had another shop on SE Foster that closed in the not too distant past. Also, I had to pay them in CASH as they would not accept bank cards. Stay Away at all costs!

The practices here live up to the stereotypes of a used car lot. Was told work on my car was done and parts were replaced after they had it for 3 months. Took it to 2 different mechanics months later for something unrelated who both verified these guys were full of shit and those parts hadn’t been touched. The sale of the car was contingent on a pretty big job getting completed. I should have took it to a mechanic right away after getting it back to verify. My guess as to why they held onto it for 3 months was because of some 90 day contractual thing they didn’t want to get caught up in. Fuck this place and seriously go someplace else. They are lucky I didn’t file a complaint with BBB because I was just so sick of interacting with them.

So went to look at the clean 1995 jeep wrangler that they are asking top kkb value $ 7995. I get there the guy doesn’t lie said there’s a starter issue but let me get the keys. After my quick frame check I found some frame rust not to bad it’s a jeep. painted to cover it up, but still not bad until it get the front bump which is missing and there is large whole and cracked frame where the shackle bolts up. hmm clean jeep?
