Fast and friendly service! I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, and tomato. It was delicious!

Now using paper boxes. Which I guess is good but takes time to assemble. I’d be fine with paper bags. These aren’t delicate cream filled donuts

Best bagels and bagel sandwiches. Quality ingredients. Fair price. If only they didn’t always sell out so early!

Finally made it to Bridgetown after living in PDX for 3 years. I lived in NYC for the 12 years prior so I was looking for something comparable(& yes I know it’s obnoxious to be *that* person throwing out their bagel eating creds). Stopped by on a Sunday at 10:15ish and grabbed the 4th to last bagel available(they were down to just garlic and salt bagels & were only offering bagels & spreads, no sandwiches that day). The bagel was good, not great. A little too chewy on the outside for me. And as others have mentioned, it is frustrating to have no way of knowing when/if they have run out of bagels. Personally, I will stick to Henry Higgins for now.

I had egg/meat/cheese on an everything bagel and it was bagel breakfast perfection. I don’t know if bagels or baked, boiled or fried, but mine came straight out of the cooker and it was worth the few minutes wait.

I looove Bridgetown’s vegetarian bagel sandwiches and I always get fast and friendly service… but when they’re actually open and properly stocked. I live just around the corner so I try to visit regularly however it seems like they are either out of inventory or not open half of the time. I got money. They got bagels. I like bagels. Take my damn money!

Bridgetown makes the best bagels in Portland. How is it, then, that they do not get a simple fifth star from Bullwinkle? I shall explain: — They do not answer the phone. — They do not have consistent business hours. — They do not have something-anything-on their website which states when they are out of bagels(or on the answering machine for that matter). You see, I want to eat these bagels. A lot. But I can’t and not because I’m watching my moose weight or because I’m a moron, but because when I arrive they don’t have any bagels. And there was no way of me knowing in advance because of the above-mentioned issues. There’s only so many times I’ll drive up to see your cardboard«Sold out» sign before I’ll just assume you have no bagels and stop trying… I don’t think it’s too much to ask. Do you Bridgetown?

These are the best bagels in town. Hands down. However, had to knock one star off original review as I don’t even try to go here anymore due to the cart always being closed or out of bagels. Can’t catch a break with them. It’s unfortunate too because they have such potential to be the greatest.

Awesome bagels, I think. Last time I had one was one year ago despite trying monthly. I should know better by now than to come here after 10:00, or 8:30 on nice days. Apparently you can order in advance by email, which seems like a perfectly logical suggestion when delivered from behind the counter of a walk up food cart.

Get there right as they’re coming out of the oven and you’ve found heaven. Unlike most shops, they bake small batches all day so they’re always super fresh!

My wife has been getting her regular saturday morning bagel fix here for a few weeks. Today she convinced me to give them a try, as well. For a breakfast bagel, this place is near the top of my local list. They have a list of traditionally breakfast sandwiches and then a few lunch sandwiches. Because I’m known to be difficult, i mixed it up to make my own breakfast sandwich(Bacon, Avocado and Egg) and it was no problem for them. On a poppy seed bagel and its the best bagel sandwich I’ve had since I could regularly grab a sandwich from Bowery Bagels near my old job. I think this place might become MY regularly scheduled saturday morning breakfast bagel fix, too.

Having lived in New York, it is tough to find excellent bagels in Portland. There are a lot of good bagels, but there are not a lot of excellent ones in Portland. I was very impressed with the texture and taste of these bagels and the great bagel sandwiches.

I’ve never been driven to write a review within minutes of finishing my meal unless it was something awful and I didn’t want to miss a juicy detail. The poppyseed bagel that I just threw down was simply divine. I’m not even keen on poppyseed bagels. So why did I get one? By 8am, they were already out of Everything, everyone on here seemed to rave about the poppy, and even the woman working there said it was her favorite. They made me love something I don’t even like. That’s huge. Get your bagels here. Get there early. Enjoy. Note: They did say I could call early to reserve an Everything. Not sure if that’s standard practice or only because of my dashing good looks.

I’ve stopped in on a Saturday morning 4 times now. Only one of those times did they have bagels left. If it’s after 10am on a Saturday, call before you head over to avoid disappointment.

The bagels are 5 stars — best in Portland. I truly want to love this place but two things: — Service is a little sour — They never have any freaking bagels! 8:30am on a Friday and we have only 3 kinds to choose from. Why? Because every bagel is already spoken for and headed home in a pre-ordered box of 12. I suppose we should feel fortunate there were any to be had, they are consistently sold out before 10am. Again, I haven’t found a bagel in town that touches these but we probably won’t be back — unless they step up production or start limiting the pre-orders in order to give the walk-up gal a fighting chance at a single bagel with schmear.

I haven’t found a bagel anywhere in town as tasty and fulfilling as these. And their bagel sandwiches are great. Four stars for the food. But their attitude and customer service has been so bad the last three times I’ve been, that I’m not going back. They don’t seem indifferent toward customers, they seem annoyed by them. I’ve walked up with a smile and a greeting, as I’ve seen so many other patrons do as well, and in return we get a blank stare or a flat, «What can I get you?» Or worse, the employees notice someone is waiting to order and they make no effort to even acknowledge you. You’re left to wait and wonder if they’ll ask if you’d like to order something. And I’ve never heard anyone from Bridgetown say, «Thank you.» A little warmth towards the customers would be a great addition. One-and-a-half stars for the service.

We totally found the Rose City Food Park by accident while trying to find another place for breakfast. Since we just got into town after a long drive and didn’t want to hunt for the other place, we decided to check the place out. They have a small assortment of a half dozen types of bagels(Plain, Salt, Onion, Garlic, Poppy, Sesame, Everything) — I went with garlic. Then it was a no-brainer to go with the gut busting 3 Little Pigs(bacon, sausage, ham, egg and cheese). It took about ten minutes to get my order and it was definitely worth the wait! It was quite a happy and totally random find that got the morning off to a great start! Though I’ve only been there once, I know that I will visit again when I’m in town! Since it does take a while to get your order, you should try to get there early! _____ | YES! No microwave here! Why do so many places ruin what could be a perfectly good breakfast sandwich with microwaved eggs? This place does it right. Everything inside that beautiful bagel sandwich is cooked to order, right in the grill. Oh but maybe you want to know about the bagels themselves? Well I’m glad you asked. Hand-rolled, boiled and baked, tr way a bagel should be made. Prices are very reasonable and the service is great. Super friendly and fast. They open at 7am on the weekdays, 8am on weekends. So go get a good bagel, it’s the right thing to do.

The Rose City Food Park pod continues to grow with an array of cuisines and amazing food options! I’ve been a breakfast fan for a long time, but have really been on a slight bagel bender the last couple of months. Another cart that goes the boiled-then-baked bagel route. Really, that’s the only way to go when making a proper bagel. Each of their seven types of bagels is $ 1 each, and you can get 13 of them for $ 10. Win. Just like when I went to Rescue Bagels, I went with the smoked salmon spread. I opted for the everything bagel this time because I had no upcoming drug test for work. Damn poppy seeds… I’ve probably become a complete sucker as far as bagels are concerned, but this one was also excellent. Chewy and an awesome toasty crunch here. I savored the cream cheese salmon spread to the last bite. It makes me wonder how many of those I’d eat before my stomach had no more room and I’m left as an oompa loompa panda in NE Portland. The fun didn’t stop there, because this cart has a couple of Jewish desserts! You can bet the farm that I’ll be back for each of those. The rugelach($ 1.50) looks much like a mini croissant with filling, or can be constructed like a strudel or nut roll. You can also find Hamantashen here! It may be spelled«hamantaschen,» «hamantash,» or «hamentasch,» but the names all refer to the same filled-pocket cookie-like pastry. Score another one for Portland. Bridgetown Bagel Company is a must-try for bagel lovers.
