I’ve been going to Burgerville since they had the hot ham and cheese sandwich and barrel of fries in the late 1970s. Burgerville is well known for having high quality but also high priced food so I wasn’t surprised by that. The complaint I have about this particular Burgerville is you can’t get into the bathroom without asking. I’m not going to ask to use a bathroom. When you spend $ 10.49 for a fish sandwich with fries and a soft drink you shouldn’t be treated like a homeless person. The prices are high enough here that they could have a bouncer at the door to keep out the homeless. Anyway, I had a halibut sandwich(the menu board only said fish filet but the employee said it was halibut) with Yukon Gold waffle fries which were a special item in early December, and a medium Coke. Cost was $ 10.49. I was offered ranch dressing for the fries, which I thought was odd, and declined. The fish sandwich had wilted lettuce on it and some tartar sauce. Not so much sauce that it would drip all over. I give the sandwich a B grade and the fries an A, they were very good, strong potato flavor instead of cooking grease flavor. Everything on the menu is a la carte, there are no combos. None of the sandwiches are less than $ 5. Expect to spend a minimum of $ 10 per person.

Always good shakes and smoothies. Love the seasonal food items. Walla Walla onion rings and berry smoothies are my favorite. I can always count on a good burger when I go to Burgerville. We stumbled on this location but will definitely return.

I think this location on the heavily fast foodified portion of 82nd is simply not as trying as hard as other Bvilles. The fries are consistently inedible, the seasonal specials aren’t great(see pic of pathetic asparagus) and the food is generally lukewarm to cold. The prices are totally bonkers for what you get, like all Burgervilles. Honestly, I’d rather eat at the McDonald’s down the street. Did I really just type that?! Yep, I’d take McD’s fries and a caramel sundae over the slop this Burgerville is dishing out.

I don’t do Burgerville a lot. I think I seem to come when they have special shake I’m interested in trying. Timber Joey Shake, Blackberry Shake. You get the idea. Today it was the blackberry shake. Yogurt based and lots of berries inside. It was good. I got a Tillamook cheeseburger to accompany it. Try one with chipotle mayo! It’s worth it. Burgerville is a solid chain in the fast casual group of places and I do like the local and self sustainable ideals they have. I wish more places did that. Enjoy.

Burgerville is nothing special. Nothing is noticeably good, nor bad. The location is in the middle of the fast food-filled part of 82nd. As opposed to Wendy’s, this is god. Burgerville consistently is an ethical company that pays employs well and invests in food grown in the Northwest. The food always tastes good, and the milkshakes are something out of this world. Their burgers, chicken strips and fried fish also are wonderful. But they are not worth $ 10 and above per meal; they just aren’t. You can get far better food that isn’t from a fast food chain pretty much anywhere in Portland. Burgerville cannot be easily recommended, especially in light on Portland’s more extensive burger options at it’s pricing.
