Three stars because this service can be useful for the right person, but not a high rating because in my experience it’s not very good. I did the «first-​step» interview two years ago and so I haven’t had to go down to the actual office thankfully since then. If you don’t fight downtown traffic and go to the first interview you can’t use the services. The first interview is unprofessional, done in a room full of multiple other interviewees, and is basically so the company know you have a face. They don’t really listen to what you’re saying but it confirms you have a body.
You set up their version of a resume through the website and use it to apply to various jobs. Once you apply it takes about a month to review it to see if they will do a phone interview. This turnaround time is ridiculous and an eternity for someone looking for a job. If you make it past the phone interview they pass on the result to the actual company to see if you make it to a real interview with an actual company employee. Considering the game of telephone and how information gets changed I don’t see how this gives a good view of the candidate.
The whole point of this employment agency is to help college graduates find entry level jobs and opportunities but it works like any other interview. If you’re not an exact match there are no jobs for you and it is no different than just applying directly with a company along with all the other candidates not using this service.

I worked with Campus Point recruiters Hirav and Anna to find a job and ended up getting hired at an awesome company in Portland. The process was easy and relatively quick, and I was impressed with the companies that Campus Point was associated with. My questions on pay, interviews, and any other arrangements were always answered quickly.

CampusPoint is perfect at what they do — a job resource for entry-​level positions perfectly suited for recent college grads. Now, these jobs aren’t all coveted dream jobs (though there are a TON of great starting opportunities), because those aren’t the jobs that entry-​level workers should expect! These are practical jobs that can help get your foot in the door at great local companies and gain work experience. I’ve had nothing but positive experience working with Hirav and Karina — I even recommended them to my boyfriend who has had great success working with Anna. This company is especially great for grads who went to school in other parts of the country who would like a little extra help acclimating to the community. Stellar company, and an excellent agency!

I have not had any success with them. I was brought in for an interview but didn’t receive the follow-​up I was promised, nor were any of my calls returned. They might be better for someone looking for full-​time work, but they’re not much help if you’re looking for anything else.

For a staffing agency that claims to help college-​educated young adults find their career path, their job offerings are terrible. If you are considering using CampusPoint, prepare to interview for receptionist & door-​to-​door sales jobs that pay 60−75% of market value. Not only is the job selection poor, but the companies who place the jobs are even poorer. Most of the firms who advertise through CP are unheardof and/​or not in your desired industry.

Our relationship started in 2008. There was the mock interview with a CampusPoint employee (who used a fictitious name). Jobs discussed actually paid about 70% of market at that time. Anyway, I was left with the impression that they helped younger people, with little or no previous experience. They were no help to me.

CampusPoint Portland has worked with me over the years at an extremely high level. I have only had a positive experience working with them. Both Michelle in the Seattle office and Hirav in the Portland office have been instrumental in my career advancement. They have placed me at two career roles for which I was qualified. First, they got me a job at Xerox where I made 60K the first year and 79K the 2^nd year. Then, when I needed a new job, they placed me at another great company, QuinStreet, where I made well above 70K for two years. They have great relationships with local employers and do their very best to place the right people with the right opportunities. The employers set the prices, not CampusPoint. They have been around over 10 years and help 1000 of recent grads every year find work.
