Worked with us to make the right kitchen for us, and, honestly, made it better than we expected. Previous cabinetmakers we spoke to wanted to cut corners and kept trying to steer us in a very, I would call it, «suburban» direction. We didn’t want that at all and could tell that the cabinetmakers who felt we had «silly» taste were not going to have the aesthetic sensibilities to get the job done well. The Davids at Carlton Carpentry Concepts have a breadth of knowledge of different styles and techniques, and knew exactly what we were talking about… and listened to us. This helped us refine what we wanted and allowed us to develop ideas as we went along. For example, we originally wanted painted cabinets, but the end result of the naked wood cabinets was so beautiful we couldn’t stand the thought of painting them, so they lacquered them with a matte-​ish finish, and found just the right hardware to go with the tones in the wood. They are the best, and on top of it all, are a pleasure to have around.
