Dr. Rust and her team are fantastic. I’ve been going to their office for years and have been well taken care of. The staff is great and friendly and they always manage to reschedule and fit me in when I overbook my schedule! I love it there. Worth the drive from Tigard.

I recently moved to Portland and hadn’t found a new dentist yet. A couple of weeks after moving, I noticed that I had multiple teeth feeling like they had cavities, but my last dentist from just a few months ago hadn’t found anything for me to worry about at my last checkup. I asked a coworker if they could recommend a good dentist. He didn’t even blink in sharing Dr. Rust’s name. I called the office and explained that I was new to the area, and was looking for a doctor who could get me in soon because I had multiple teeth that hurt, and bad. The front desk lady, Cindy, explained that Dr. Rust happened to be in on this Friday, when she normally wasn’t, and that she would be more than willing to see me. What a relief! The office, Cedar Creek Dental, was easy enough to find and once I got there, I felt at ease. Cindy seemed to sense I was a little nervous. She offered me a bottle of water and then helped me with my new patient forms. Dr. Rust introduced herself, and then proceeded to listen, very carefully, as I described my tooth pains. She did a quick review of my medical background and then asked how I heard about her office. I told her I was new in town and got her name from a coworker. Dr. Rust seemed to take interest in that I was new to town, and had just taken a new job. She asked about my stress levels of late, and then focused her exam on my jaw and jaw muscles, not just my sore teeth! She explained that I may be grinding my teeth in response to the stresses of all the changes with moving and my new job. She recommended that I look at getting a nightguard to use while sleeping. I didn’t understand how these problems did not mean cavities or, worse yet, root canals. She assured me that these sorts of things happen to people all the time, especially for people with so many stressful changes in their lives. We made a plan to have me buy a mouthguard from the store and use it all weekend, and to check back the following week to see if my teeth were feeling better. I’m happy to report they did. I was impressed by how this young doctor seemed to care more about helping me, even if it meant not doing any treatment, even on her day off from patients. Dr. Rust is great. I have only seen her twice, so I can’t say I have seen her for years. But I can say I WILL be with her for years going forward. She is the best!
