Loved this store. It was clean and organized, and the sales people were super nice and helpful :) will be going there again!

The staff at Cindies were friendly enough. They have a huge selection and the place is clean and well organized. However, if you are going to consider purchasing a dildo from them, make sure you check the entire thing for any tears. When I got home, I inspected the dildo I had purchased to find it was torn heavily near the balls (and not in a good way). When I called (about twenty minutes after I purchased) the gal on the phone told me they couldn’t issue me a refund. I told her I didn’t want a refund and that I was hoping they could just replace it for me. She said it was against Oregon state law. I’m quite annoyed but it is what it is. Just check any dildos prior to purchase. And to the folks at Cindies, if it really is state law that you can’t replace defective merchandise, you may want to consider checking the products with each customer prior to purchase, for their own protection. I spent nearly $ 200 and you can be sure I’ll spend my money elsewhere in the future. Sorry to be bratty about it.

I think Cindie’s got suggested to me when I was reading a free newspaper about the Best of Portland a year or two ago.
Not that I don’t have anything against Cindie’s but I am looking for a sexy shop in Portland that caters to a gay clientele. Something like The Crypt and Doghouse Leathers that are in Seattle. I have a high level of confidence that there is such a place in Portland but the two I have been to were not necessarily geared towards us queers.
Not that there is anything wrong with this place. There isn’t! I went in here around Halloween time and they had tons of fun costumes, wigs and acessories.
There are lots of adult toys and a wide diversity of them!
The place is clean and very friendly so I really have nothing to complain about at all. Just looking for that gay fetish shop in Portland is all.

I really like this store, but one of the employees was rude by insinuating that I did not have enough money to pay for what I was asking. She then went on to correct my friend and I who do drag about the kind of stuff we needed. And a couple other instances that made us feel, talke down to and degraded. Still a great place!

My first experience (I am 65) buying sex toys and being in such a store was a calm and helpful one. Erin was atttentive to my questions and needs. She opened packages so I could tell what the products felt like. She let me take my time. The store had a good positive vibe. It felt like a safe place to be. I would highly recommend it.

If you need sex toys then this is the place to go from condoms to anal plugs with porn and more they are a great shop. the staff know most products and give great opinions. they gladly open stuff for you to see. They do a great thing with lube I must have spent twenty minutes and the girl showed me most all the lubes they have and told me a bit about each of them to the point that I spent way more than I meant to and was happy to do it. Great staff. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t next to a crappy corner and the prices were a touch lower. They have some great role playing stuff but most is poor quality and high price. Great store.

I have been there in the past and had great service, today was HORRIBLE! I asked several times for different sizes/​colors/​etc and the chic never came back. I had to get dressed twice to come out and tell her I needed help. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE! Then, she opened a garter to show me how it worked and her manager came in and accused me of theft. I will NEVER go back there again. Totally rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. I was ready to make a big purchase too. Go to Sparticus, or somewhere else. This place sucks.

Size matters, and Cathie obviously knows this. They have a large selection of novelties, lingerie, club wear, platform heels, and hosiery. It’s a Southeast oasis for erotically sophisticated consumers, pole dancers, and anyone looking for a genital shaped party tray.

It is a little expensive, even if you are on their discount program. You do pay for what you get for.

Because we were a little disappointed by the bachelorette party selection at Fascinations we headed over to Cathie’s because we have heard their radio commercials advertising them as the bachelorette party HQ. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a staffer and were pointed out to the party sections (which seemed like everywhere). The prices for the same things we found at Fascinations were also less pricey so we ended up picking up a few items. They also have a huge clearance area where things were priced up to 75% off. Although Cathie’s didn’t seem as clean as Fascinations, we felt a little more comfortable at Cathie’s and the staff were really friendly. As we were checking out, we noticed their funny «wall of shame» which depicted pictures of people stealing stuff from their store. Now we know where to go for the next bachelorette party shopping!

I like Cathie’s because the salespeople are really nice and the selection is great, however the prices on clothing/​shoes are about double what you’d pay if you order online instead, at, for instance, Snaz75.

The wife loves this place because they have a dressing room where you can try stuff on, and you can see that this is where the stripper’s in Portland get their outfits from. They also have something that other adult stores don’t…a section for plus sized women. The wife and I will definitely keep this as one of our favorite stores.
