This is the worst shoe store ever. I bought a pair of $ 150 danskos and wore them to work one day (only inside), and they immediately rubbed and gave me blisters. Had virtually no signs of wear, but enough for them to reject them when I tried to return them. Worst return policy ever!!! How are you supposed to know if the shoes are comfortable if you just take 10 steps around their store?! Plus, to second the other reviews, they are absolutely rude.
There are plenty of other comfort shoe stores around, so I recommend you try those instead. In fact, I recommend Shoe Mill in Lloyd center. They have a much better return policy and actually treat you like a valued customer.

I thought I’d give this place a try. I had great service when I initially bought my shoes here. They didn’t work for my bunions after the first night of trying them. Nothing was wrong with them when I brought them back. Nothing. I was treated terribly when I first walked in. The blonde lady was stuffing her face while she talked to me then when I explained why I couldn’t wear the shoes she said that since I wore them to work she can’t re sell them. That was all, no advice on anything, no suggestions, no apologies. Nothing. I spent $ 130 on these shoes that I can’t wear. I will never return to Clog n more nor will I ever recommend that store.

Drove all the way from NW during rush hour to find them closed at 5:45. 15 min before their advertised closing With two kids. not cool!

I bought a pair of clogs here last fall (trying to give my feet some relief while standing on concrete all day for work). The salesman was very helpful and guided me through buying my first pair of clogs. I am so happy with my shoes now, and I have clogs-​n-​more to thank for them. A great local business with a niche market in Portland.

I’m absolutely shocked at how rude this place is. I know I had a similar experience there in the past (can’t remember details of that one other than promising myself I’d never go back) but decided to go back in there anyway because enough time had passed and maybe it was just that one salesperson. Wrong.
The other day, I came in asking for help finding a comfortable pair of shoes to fit my extremely narrow feet. The woman (hipster with short, bleach blond hair and glasses) was trying to be helpful at first, but quickly became frustrated and rude. Example being when she handed me a pair to try and they had super heavy heels, and I let her know that I wasn’t a fan of heavy shoes and preferred something lighter. She insisted I try them anyway… and I again told her after putting them on, that they were too heavy for me. She rolled her eyes and would then only show me «barefoot shoes» even though they were not at all the style I was looking for (did not need to go to that extreme… jeez!)
I tried those on anyway, and they were so huge (width-​wise) on my feet that I could quite literally stick an *entire hand* in the shoe along with my foot. She abruptly told me that’s how they were «supposed to» fit. Uhh… no. Knowing she was wearing the same shoes, I asked, «Is that how they fit your feet? Can I see? (she was sitting on her knees.) She came back with, «Uhh… well, my friends all have them and they fit big on most of them.»
When I said they didn’t fit, but ended it with, «but thank you very much for your time. I really appreciate it!» She did NOT even look at me again, let alone respond at ALL. WTF? If someone doesn’t find something that fits, you don’t ever want them to return? No smile, no goodbye? Seriously? I really wanted to support this local business, but in this case, I’d feel much better about ordering from zappos or shoebuy. Total shame. :(

Service was knowledgeable, yet the salesperson did seem a little frenetic/​absent as the store got crowded. Good selection of sizes and styles in the dansko and sensible shoe department.

I had kind of a schizophrenic experience here.
I’ve gotten most of my shoes in the past from thriftstore/​freepiles/​ross, and they’ve mostly been kinda crappy. I realized I reached a point where I just needed a good pair of comfy sandals, cause I’m a mom and pregnant again and that’s what I need dammit. And what do ya know, I can now actually afford to buy a pair from a real store.
So I came in pushing my wee one in a stroller and the lady was helping someone else, and didn’t really acknowledge me for a while so I just started helping myself and trying on stuff. But my kid gets fussy quick, so I was just getting ready to split when she offered up a box of toys for her to play with. Great. So I’m trying on sandals and just cannot decide between these two pairs, one being more stylish and the other being more comfortable. The kid is getting fussy again, so I just leave to think on it.
I return later that evening, unencumbered and determined to make up my mind, try the two pairs on again and apologize for my fuzzy brained indecisiveness. The sales lady is finally just like, «Listen, take home the pair you’re leaning towards. Wear them around the house a little bit — just don’t wear them outside. If you don’t like how they feel, just bring them back.» Sounds fair enough. So I take the more stylish pair.
Later that night I check out the shoes with more scrutiny and notice that they seemed a teensy bit worn, like they could have been a return. Doesn’t bother me too much, but then I also notice that part of the inner strap was unstiched and kinda falling apart. I then go online and check the shoe reviews and there’s a bunch of people who say «These are NOT comfortable.» So I didn’t even wear them around the house — I just decide that they’re going back.
A couple days later I’m back to exchange them for the other pair I liked. The same saleslady is working so I expect everything to go smoothly. I explain that she might want to be aware about the stitching coming apart. She takes them out of the box and shakes her head and then sternly reprimands «These were worn outside. I can’t take them back.» I’m kind of in shock. «But. I didn’t even wear them! I didn’t wear them inside even!» But she insists, «They were worn outside. There’s dust on the bottom.» And it looks like there is indeed dust on the bottom, but I kept trying them on in the store, so.
She says she’ll refund my card, but implies that I can’t get the other pair. Like, our relationship is finished. I’m stunned and just hand over my card. I go to leave and then sputter that I was going to exchange them for the other pair. She’s again insisting that they were worn, and I’m just like, «But I didn’t! I swear!» and I’m shaking and nearly crying. I’m not a liar. I’m just terribly indecisive. I just want comfy shoes!
And she finally backs down and softens and apologizes. Says she’s had a crazy day. And says I can get the other shoes. And then gives me the same chinook book coupon discount I used on the first pair without me asking (which I wouldn’t dare do at this point). And says she’ll be nicer next time. And then we hug. Okay, that last sentence isn’t true.
But what was going to be my big treat of comfy sandals turns into this total fiasco. Okay, so their policy is if that you wear them outside you can’t return them. Seems fair in most cases. But if I wore them out for a day — which I DIDN’T as I’ve been asserting here all along, but for arguments sake, lets say I did — and then noticed the strap was broke, then I should still be able to return them for being, like, defective (AND costing a friggen Hundred Dollars!). Maybe I should just go back to Ross.

I’ve bought two pairs of shoes from the «N-​More» side of Clogs N More, and every time had wonderful service. This weekend i was in buying funky shoes for my wedding, and feeling a bit overwhelmed and insecure about it all. The woman who worked there eased my mind by telling me a story about her awful wedding shoes that made her feet numb, and really solidified my determination to get comfy, funky shoes over some dinky slippery, tight –assed sandal. She was just the right level of encouraging and sassy, without pushiness. THANK YOU, CLOG LADY!

Stopped here for a pit stop on my shopping tour of Hawthorne and discovered a large selection of smartwool socks. I usually wear short micro socks when I am home in Maui, but bought a pair of longer socks just in case this Portland Summer doesn’t turn around soon. Service was friendly. Will be back.

I had great service here and ended up getting a pretty good deal on my first pair of Danskos.
I tried on a ton of styles and found that Danskos sizing is a little wonky and that some 41s fit me perfectly, some were loose, and some were too tight. Finding this out, I was relived to have not followed through on my urge to buy a pair for a bit cheaper online and then not have them fit right.
The sales lady was very patient with us and helped explain things and I appreciated her attentiveness. When I decided to go with them, she also gave me a 15% service worker discount because I work with youth in a non-​profit. Sweet!

To put it short, I cared about supporting a local shoe company until I discovered they cared nothing about me as their customer.
I could have gone online or to REI for some good walking shoes, but I decided to pay a bit more and support local business. After wearing my new $ 90 Keens around the house (they felt fine as slippers), I found it to be a sorry test for street wearing… they KILLED my feet… the elastic ate up the backs of my ankles and double socks/​band-​aids were no help. I thought a local shop, who I’d cared to support would be concerned about their shoes doing physical damage to a customer’s feet… but they through up their hands. The second I chose to wear them outside, they said, was the moment I took responsibility into my own hands. They, apparently, couldn’t do anything for me. Thankfully, Keen is a good enough business to care about their customers and accepted the shoes back. In the future, however, I’ll buy my shoes at R.E.I. Too bad for local shoe businesses. Clogs-​N-​More spoiled my interest in supporting them for now.

Wide selection of Danskos. I paid $ 115 for a pair that I could have bought for $ 70 on line. But I wanted to support local business and the owner «guaranteed great service» and free polishing.
I had to take them back three times to be stretched and asked for the free polishing — none of the three times was anything done to them when I came back weeks later. Eventually donated them to Goodwill.
Have since bought several other styles of Dansko’s on line at much better prices and been very happy with them.

This is a favoritew place of mine to get clogs. good fast service, great selection and they will shine your shoes if you bring them back. Prices? Well, the ever popular clogs at $ 115. I think that is fair.
