Club Calabash

They have some of the freshest up and coming local hip hop acts coming through here. Fabulous Saturdays, Bad Habitat, Curtains just to mention a few. the only downside is the bar. some nights the bar tender is really slow. thats right i said «is»… they used to have only one bartender. last few times i have been there they had 2 though… so maybe their management got the picture.
also, they have delicious bbq… try the pulled pork sandwich!

A friend of mine was having her birthday at this newly discovered club. We got there at 9 and we were pretty much the only people at the club. There is no cover charge but there is a 1 drink minimum. The club is not very big but the dance floor is adaquete. The music ranges from salsa to hip-​hop. There is a big variety that they play including songs not usually played at other clubs. I even heard «Another Night» from Real McCoy, lol. The drinks are kind of pricy and can be weak depending on who makes them. It started to pick up when the birthday girl arrived around 10 PM. Pretty much all the tables were taken by then. As far as I know, there are no food options, just a full bar. There are a lot of guys that do come here, not enough ladies. We will have to see how this place holds out as the weeks go by.
