Collective Portland

A few years further in… Still live under the looming threat of Retriever Towing so I can’t let a friend use my parking spot without some advance planning, but other than that things are decent.
Personnel and process changes associated with the ownership change seem squared away now. It’s still next to impossible to talk to someone at the office in person (wish I’d not trusted the posted office hours and saved my PTO…), but you can generally catch someone on the phone or receive a quick enough response to messages. Maintenance has been quick and effective when required.
Restrictions on air conditioning units have been relaxed a bit, in window units are now okay on the alley and hill sides of the buildings which is great given how blisteringly hot this summer has been.
edit: Also, the party house on SW Lincoln that used to be a blight on the alley side of the complex seems to have been busted up, so that side of things is quiet during the summer now. It’s been replaced by constant band practice and porch parties at one of the houses fronting SW Park now… So I guess pay attention to where the windows for any unit you’re looking at are facing.
