(+) A great place to park your sailboat, mingle with sailors, and watch the boats go by. The floating homes along the slips give it a nice neighborhood feel, and its quiet and quaint. They don’t allow liveaboards so the marina is just for the sport. The Island Café restaurant is just across the channel, and fuel pumps are nearby. The scale is small, and that makes it a friendly place where everyone knows your name. Slip fees are reasonable, and access is great for those who live on the south side of the river. (-) The upkeep could be better. The small made-in-garage signs make it difficult for visitors to find the location. Unlike most marinas in the area, there are no security gates and anyone can just wander in. No toilets or rec room. They only provide a honeybucket during the summer months that is set up on the south side of Bridgeton road in the parking lot. Very inconvenient! Also no community bulletin board that is a must for marinas.
