Cox’s Dry Cleaners

I’ve learned to not skip my go to dry cleaners for this one because of convenience. Went in with 4 short sleeve shirts that usually would cost me $ 1.50 each. I ended up paying $ 5 each! They said it needed to be hand washed. According to who? I wanted to know. They didn’t even get the stains out! Skip it but if you can

Came in from out of town to have my shirt pressed. They did it for me in a Saturday which was nice. I got home only to find that they wrote a «K» on the label. Who does that?! They ruined a $ 200 shirt. It absolutely makes no sense why they did that. Don’t go there.

An exchange of money cheapened the exchange of goodwill and neighborliness Jae and her husband showed me when I needed a suit for a wedding the next day.
Not only was the order ready *before it was promised, that particular suit hadn’t looked so good since before it was out of the store. Terrifically grateful, I’ll be back soon.

I will give them credit I was looking for a «rush» on some dry cleaning and wash and fold. (I wanted it the next afternoon 24hours or so). And they took me in when others had turned me away. Dry cleaning was good pretty expensive though and the wash and fold was clean but things were inside out and folded in a mess. Seems like when you pay per piece they should try and turn things to the right side and fold them correctly so they are not crazy wrinkled. I won’t be going back.

I was very displeased with the customer service I received at Cox’s Dry Cleaners, which is the main reason for submitting this review. I am of the opinion that a business should do the best they can to accommodate customers (definitely within reason), and especially if problems arise on behalf of the company (not the customer).
My complaint is the result of having items damaged. I took in two pieces of clothing to be dry cleaned. When I returned to pick them up, one piece of clothing had a tear AND stains in it that were NOT originally there when I dropped them off. I ended up having to leave the items there for an additional day so that they could try and remove the stain and repair the tear. They did repair the tear but the stains could not be removed.
I had just purchased this item and was planning to take it with me on a trip the following day. The worse part about this whole experience is that I asked management if they would be willing to credit me for the stains or accommodate me in some other way for all the inconvenience. They kept insisting that they did not do anything wrong. As a result, I proceeded to acknowledge how disappointed I was in the service and informed them that I would be writing this review and would never frequent their dry cleaners again. The owner/​manager (female) responded by saying «don’t every come back here again». I paused and asked her if she had just uttered those words and told her that she was being very rude (especially to someone who had just paid for their clothes to be cleaned but instead returned to find them damaged). The entire time she acted as if I had inconvenienced her. Needless to say, I was quite upset at the lack of customer service on her behalf, and I will NEVER take my clothes to this cleaner’s again.
If you are considering going here, I would advise you to take your clothes to a cleaners that will appreciate your business… even if it’s a few extra miles down the road.

They wrote with permanent marker inside every one of my $ 300 dress shirts. In huge letters, visible to the eye if the shirt is untucked, and an obvious misspelling of my name. A couple of the shirts are made to be worn untucked, and they wrote over paisley trim made to be visible and destroyed my shirts. I would avoid these people if you value your hard earned money.

Can’t get any worse! Being in town for only a few days, we needed a laundry service. They charge per piece, fine, though it wasn’t advertised or when I called, nothing was mentioned. Already feeling cheated.
But! Paying 4.50 for a t shirt, I would expect it to be folded, and not to smell like it was washed with someone else’s fungal socks! The clothes were «folded» in different sizes, shapes, rolled up hems ignored and multiple crease lines along a fold. C’mon! My five year old does a better job.
Khaki slacks where not pressed and where half folded, half rolled and not even alined with the seams. I had asked for them to be pressed.
Bill wasn’t itemized, so it was a free-​for-​all charge. It was definitely a «tourist trap»!
Being from NYC, laundry service meant clean, neatly folded clothes all in the same size and the same fashion.
I can’t imagine how they treat their own laundry!
They shouldn’t offer laundry service if they don’t know how to! Stick to dry cleaning!
Socks, 8 tshirts, pair of jeans and slacks cost $ 120. Fine, if they were only done properly. Thanks for making us look like we slept in our clothes and smell like we slept on the streets, when we hit the next town!

We’ve been going here for six years and they’re great. Good prices, and if you get your clothes in before 9:00 a.m., you can pick them up after 3:00 p.m. that same day.
Invaluable for those with a regular traveling schedule like my husband.
Their new space has much better ventilation and convenient parking right out front. HIghly recommend.

We’ve been using Cox for five years or more for laundering men’s shirts (6 per week) and for dry cleaning. They’re unfailingly friendly and competent. In addition the pricing is great — 1.25 for a shirt and competitive dry cleaning prices. They remember you and how you like your clothes done, which other cleaners haven’t been able to do. A true mom and pop business that’s an asset to downtown. I love this family!

local business, really close to my house, decent pricing. never had a problem with them.
