Custom Decorators

6 months ago we chose Hunter Douglas for shades and window shutters. We happily paid the $ 7,000 for 8 windows knowing that we would get Hunter Douglas quality. They also had an authorized decorator in Sonoma County, CA
Here we are 6 months later still waiting for the quality. Several of the shutters arrived broken. We are now waiting for the 4^th repair visit. We’ve had as many as half the windows with broken shutter slats for months and now we are down to one. They rarely return phone calls and the local authorized decorator stopped returning our calls once the check was cashed.
. We will never… ever buy anything with Hunter Douglas’ name on it again

I first used Custom Decorators for window coverings 6 years ago when I ordered Hunter Douglas woven wood blinds for my dining room. 2 years later I called my consultant to see if I could add matching valances in the kitchen. She contacted Hunter Douglas and they were able to make valances to my exact specifications that matched perfectly. I couldn’t have been happier.
When I needed carpet in my bedroom I decided to use Custom Decorators again. The carpet was much better quality than what I had previously and has held up great even with my dogs. The carpet installer was very friendly and did a great job. He also bound the extra piece so I could use it as an area rug.
A few months ago I bought new furniture and saw some really expensive coordinating fabric in the designer showroom, so I called Custom Decorators and my consultant was able to get the same fabric and make pillows and drapery at a fraction of the cost of what the showroom was charging.
I have worked with several different consultants and all were attentive to my needs. I love that they come to my home so I don’t have to run around town. The merchandise quality, level of service, and overall price exceeded my expectations. I have referred them to my friends who have been equally happy. In fact, one friend in San Jose, and one in San Francisco are both working with Custom Decorators window designers right now.
