United has hired DJ’s delivery service to reunite you with your bag. My bag was still in San Francisco when I got to Portland, I had no car and I was not about to take a taxi back to the airport to pick up my bag. That’s how I got into the situation…
Once Untied received the bag, DJ’s Delivery service was responsible for picking up the bag and delivering it to my current location. I provided them with a phone number, address, and email address… TYPED. Apparently the driver was having trouble reading the typed message… or so he said. I have a copy of my delivery request. I put the info into Google Maps, I am currently staying 30 minutes from the airport. No erroneous messages…
At 8pm after leaving multiple messages… he finally called. He said he wouldn’t be there until 12 am at the latest.
12 am rolled around… I leave a few more messages, I call India, I am tired of sitting there waiting for my bag.
He finally shows up at 1:30 a.m. No call to say he’s going to be late, no communication, just showing up an hour and a half after his original ETA.
You can call them for their opinion on the matter, but you’ll need to leave a voicemail.
I wouldn’t trust DJ’s Delivery Service for anything delivery related. One star delivery service. That is all.

I was house– and dog-​sitting for a friend in Portland who was going on vacation. She drove to the airport to fly off to her destination and left a set of car keys for me at DJ’s. When I flew in, I stopped by DJ’s (right at the end of baggage claim), gave them my name, and drove myself back to my friend’s house.
I liked this place. Very friendly. Quick and easy. Inexpensive — the board showed a $ 5 charge to leave a small item/​package for up to 30 days. More for larger items, of course. Open 7 days a week, 6am — 10pm.
Minus one star because, now that I think about it, they never asked me for any sort of identification or made me sign that I’d picked up the item. (I guess the Portlanders really are more trusting and kick-​back than us Bay-​Area types.)
