This place is great. Best mexican food made by real mexicans. Haha. Seriously its like an authentic mexican taco truck but better. Service is good too. Even my kids like it here and they dont like mexican food in general. This place is killer. Will always come back. Theyve been around forever. Don Pedros eat your heart out.

We had a wonderful meal feasting on a machaca burrito, bean and cheese burrito, and assorted street tacos. The restaurant, restrooms, and kitchen were very clean. The person who took our order was friendly and courteous. We purchased two additional burritos for the flight home(just in case we get hungry). Two noteworthy items: the interior of the restaurant is dated but clean, and if you make any food substitutions you will be charged(50 cent charge for black beans instead of refried beans). All in all, we are looking forward to eating here again on a future trip.

The ham breakfast burrito I had today was pretty good. At $ 5.25 it is higher priced than some of the other places I have eaten them. One star off for completely unfriendly service. Maybe next time they will be friendlier instead of opening the window and not greeting me or telling me what I owe.

This is the place to go if you want quick Mexican food. You can stop in and eat or they have a drive through. Prices are decent. Our favorite thing to get here is the chile relleno burrito.

Stopped in to El Burrito Loco today to check out their tacos. Their price range was definitely to my liking($ 2.00 and under). I ordered my three favorite meats: carne asada, al pastor, and chicken. First of all, I noticed that the meats were nicely grilled, which I like. Also, the tacos came with different accompanying toppings, and that variety is nice. In addition to the customary cilantro and onion which the al pastor had, the carne asada and chicken tacos also had tomato and guacamole(a good addition). One obvious funny thing was the inconsistent portion sizes.. .the chicken taco had a lot of meat, the al pastor had less, and the carne asada was tiny.(Of course, I wish all three had a LOT.) Overall, El Burrito Loco was about average among all the taquerias I’ve been to.. .it’s OK, but it wouldn’t be a «destination» taco place for me.

Been coming here for years and the food is still as good as ever. Carnitas burritos and taquitos still my favorite.

Not the fanciest place around, but DAMN I love their burritos. Prices are awesome, and the burritos are some of the best I’ve had in PDX. For a total decadent pleasure, I love the combination burrito. It’s gooey as hell and crazy good.(beware the liquid hot magma within) The dining room leaves a ton to be desired, but they do have a drive thru if you’re not in to early 90’s fast food charm.

Delicious, authentic, fast. Good to go or dine-in. They have a drive-thru as well. Great variety!

What more is there to say about this place except«delicioso!» Don’t be deceived by their underwhelming exterior. Let the long drive-thru line and super affordable prices draw you in. Two burritos — all meat and chili relleno — were both piping hot, wrapped in delicious, chewy tortillas and smothered in their great green sauce. $ 11.50 for both. They’re all fast, like, freaky fast. Better than Olé Frijole! And obvs better than T-Bell.

This place is seriously legit. I’ve eaten here over 100 times including today(they are a local tradition) and never been less than totally satisfied. Best items are tostada burrito with red sauce inside, loco burger, cheeseburger, Al Pastor ANYTHING, but especially sope, machaca burrito, anything nacho, and don’t sleep on the pastrami and cheese sandwich! I don’t know who the cook is, but I’ll be goddamned if they don’t make one of the best hot pastrami sandwiches in town. I don’t know who’s idea that was, but it’s awesome. They will make anything, anyway you want. They have great customer service, great value, and the food is shockingly good and freshly prepared. You can get three Al Pastor tacos, french fries, a large bean burrito, a pastrami and cheese grilled sandwich, and a Carne Asada sope for like $ 13. That’s crazy. That’s an enormous feast for two people at $ 6.50 each, $ 7.50 with tip if you choose. That’s cheaper than anywhere else for miles, including Taco Bell. The only thing cheaper is the Dollar Menu, and that food isn’t fit for an animal. It would be an insult to compare it to the from-scratch refried beans and hand made salsas at El Burrito Loco. El Burrito Loco is an example of what fast food should be: independently owned, long lasting appeal, serving quality food that is quickly prepared, and presented with a smile. We love you El Burrito Loco, keep up the good work!

I don’t write many reviews, but Jeff M. from 7⁄25 has inspired me… I like this place, and for a drive through alone I’d give them 5 stars due to friendly and efficient service, and of course the yummy food. I do wish the drive through menu was more detailed so I knew which brkfst ‘rito to order lol but they’re all good so I’ll just take it upon myself to try & memorize them all ;) Jeff M. from 7/25, I’m sorry but maybe you should tip once in a while, maybe use your best table manors? Giving a one star over 4 sauces per burrito… who sounds like the jerk here?

Much better than the fast food exterior would suggest. Although the food is fast, it is actually made of real things that don’t come out of a spigot or hot glue gun or whatever they use at Taco Bell. Prices are very reasonable, portions are large, and the service is always surprisingly friendly. Not much of a great place to sit down necessarily, but not the worst, either. And they have a drive through!

The Crazy Burrito… Go Crazy or Go Home in NE!!! So a friend in the NE hood suggested this place for dinner, and I have to say, I am taken aback how good it was. Most of us cruising up 82nd(okay poor choice of words), would never stop to eat anywhere that wasn’t a golden arch and a bathroom stop only! My mind has been changed and my horizons expanded. I opted for the veg friendly Super Veggie Burrito Loco, a large burrito filled with fresh grilled veggies, a chili relleno, topped with a fresh assortment of guacamole, Mexican crema, and a side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, etc. All that for $ 6.50!!! Cheap, filling, fresh, and semi-healthy. I couldn’t believe it. The outside looks like an old«Run For the Border» business, and has the usual wear and tear inside of a place not updated since 1990. Nevertheless, these fine folks make the most of everything they have. A simple menu with good options for vegetarians, and a place that leaves you scratching your head because you realize that for the same quality, you dropped $ 8 – 9 for a smaller portion of what you just ate at the usual Mexican chain restaurants. Give this place a try. It would be a shame not to. Those in the NE area, forget about your standard go to’s, and drive up 82nd a ways and give El Burrito Loco a try. It puts any fast food place to shame, and will leave you feeling pretty good about supporting a local small business with the hardest working crew you’ll find.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Super awesome, kind staff. Slightly off putting interior/exterior. You will leave feeling satisfied and maybe a little heavier. Not much else to say! You really have to try it before you say anything, so don’t listen to superficial garbage. They have take out; you can enjoy it somewhere else. It’s a frickin’ sweet place.

Been going to this place a few years, taken friends but never reviewed. Everything’s tasty. I’m partial to the combination(red & green) burrito, carne asada taco and loco fries.

Fast, consistent, good Mexican food that is affordable. My family and I have been coming here for many years. Reminds us of the Mexican food places on the block when we lived in San Diego. Love the guy with the game-show-host voice! Service is always pleasant and they get my special orders right EVERYTIME. Nice staple in the neighborhood. Good work Guys… Good work.

authentic(Americanized) Mexican food. Legit street tacos. Low prices and all the salsa Roja or Verde’ you want, makes this place awesome. We came with an order for two families, including two teenage boys and one very hungry adult male. So we pretty much ordered the entire menu. I ordered one of every Taco they had on the menu and a few they didn’t. Like tounge and cow head. With a side of Guacamole and all the salsa I could carry. I was bent on eating all the tacos I could get. I managed to rifle about 9 down my gullet but that’s all I could do. I’ve gotten tacos from here a couple times and have always been satisfied with the food and the service.

I was happily surprised that someone else discovered El Burrito Loco #3 so I didn’t have to do it because more than likely I would not have stepped inside. But lemme tell ya they make a mean soft tostada! I haven’t had much else on the menu because it’s alway just Soft Tostada Time at the Crazy Burrito. Oh and it’s way cheap. And the food is very fresh — the beans taste lard-free and the vegetables are great! The folks who work there are super nice, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get the guy with the Radio voice who’s dulcet tone makes«soft tostada mes amigos» all swoony. The inside is orange orange orange. And very clean. I can see why most opt for the drive through. But seriously if you’re cruising down 82nd and need food, it’s a great option.
