My husband and I got married in September of 2014, and we had the incredible privilege of working with Kara from Ella Events. I am SO not the wedding planning type, so I knew from the beginning that I was going to need someone to hold my hand and help keep me focused throughout the process. Kara was the perfect person to do that! She was so unbelievably on top of everything the whole way through. The checklists, questionnaires and meetings we had provided just what I needed to stay invested and focused from start to finish. Even more than the tools she provided, my husband and I were just blown away by Kara’s warmth and genuine care for us. She had a LOT going on — both personally and professionally — during the months leading up to our wedding, but the attention she gave us made it feel like we were her primary concern. She truly seemed invested in our big day, going above and beyond what we ever expected, and helping us to have the absolute best day of our lives. She became such a special part of the wedding planning that by the time the wedding day came, she was more than just a day-​of coordinator; she was a friend that I truly wanted present for such a special day. Speaking of the day-​of coordination, Kara and her assistant, Robin, were indispensable on that day. If there were any issues that came up, I was completely clueless. They took care of everything, making it possible for not just me and my husband, but our families and the bridal party to truly relax and enjoy the day. It was incredible! And, by the end of it, my whole family was in love with Kara too. She’s just that wonderful of a person. While we ended up spending more than I would have expected on the coordination fees, not once did I feel like I was overpaying for Kara’s services. She was worth every penny. There is no one I would recommend more highly than Kara. She is phenomenal at what she does, and she is just a gem of a person! If you want the perfect coordinator, pick her. Seriously. Do it.
