Express Employment Professionals

Marisa was extremely helpful and upfront and landed me two great interviews. Neither of them came through but that was because of me and my nontraditional work history. I directly found employment elsewhere but Marisa would be the first place I would go to if I were back job hunting again.

For two years Sandi with Express stopped by my small local business to say «hello» and let us know that they existed, that if we ever needed temp workers that we could call them, and that they would love to work with us. For two years I let Sandi know that we had had bad experiences with temp agencies before. Every time she told me that Express would be different. She was right; it was different. But certainly not in a way that was good for anybody involved.
After two years of hard work on Sandi’s part we decided to give Express a try, for three days. They missed, flubbed and errored every single day. The first day, only one of two workers showed. The second day two showed and we only needed one (the second one was 20 min. late and we had the uncomfortable responsibility of turning him away). The third day one worker showed up a few minutes late, the second worker showed up… wait for it… 1 hour and 45 minutes late.
I called Sandi to let her know that was I so sorry that all of her marketing efforts were for not. Any trust that she had built with us over the past two years was quickly demolished by her team’s total incompetence. I was truly surprised when they actually sent me an invoice for such notably horrible service. So I figured, if I was a paying customer, I might as well right a review.
My best advice, go elsewhere.

They were wonderful to work with and found jobs quickly. The last job they found me, I ended up being with for two years until relocating to a different state. Bryan was a huge help during my job hunt and even after being their employee. I would recommend to anyone!

I was nothing but pleased with Express Employment. The staff was friendly and my assigned staffing agent, Marisa, was a gem. Always responsive to my calls and emails.
She was with me through the entire evaluation to hire process. I would highly recommend them if you are trying to find a job in Portland.

I worked with this staffing agency from 2010 – 2013, They treat the you like a paroled convict, They are disorganized and unprofessional, You have to hold there hand and help them with everything. There primary goal is not helping people find jobs, its helping them selves to contracts with employers. they are not on your side what so ever. I have worked with other staffing agencies like Aerotek, and Staffing Solutions, they are much more professional. Good luck

Don’t waste your time. The process takes 4+ hours of applications and interviewing, and they annoy the hell out of your contacts. The real problem was the fact that they literally guaranteed me a job within a week. After that didn’t happen, I called to check in and they apologized. Same thing happened the next week and the week after that. A month went by and I had given up on express. They called me randomly one morning (40 days after I signed up) and told me they had a job for me. Bad enough they are bad about their jobs, but they’re rude. My friend had the exact same experience by the way. Two people– college graduates, clean records, great references, good job background = zero job through «Express.» We obviously found employment elsewhere. Save yourself frustration and time that could be spent looking for jobs.
