Eyes on Old Port

I was shocked to read a negative review of Maine Professional Opticians. I’ve been going to them for years — for excellent caring service, and equally good prices. I won’t list the many ways that they have gone out of their way to help me.
I’ve been afraid since this store was acquired, but, so far, Patricia and Chuck are still there, and seem to be as caring as ever. There’s a new name on the door and sign, but it’s still my «go to» place for eye wear.

i recently went to Eyes on Old Port for my first vision exam in almost a decade. they got me an appointment almost immediately and got me in for follow-​up within a week. i saw Dr. Tricia, who knows her stuff. in fact, the entire staff are knowledgeable and courteous. and friendly! me oh my oh, are they friendly. they are even family-​owned, and they employ the family who previously owned this location for a long time. how would i even know that if these folks were not so very friendly?
bonus: they didn’t try to make me feel badly about avoiding the eye doctor for so long, which is a big plus.
extra bonus: the glasses that i ordered came in very promptly.
don’t hesitate to go to Eyes on Old Port for your routine eye care and prescription glasses.
important note — Eyes on Old Port is a pretty small shop, owned by the same folks as Eyes on Rosemont. so my follow-​up appointment was out at Eyes on Rosemont where they have more equipment.
