I love this place. They are cheaper than anywhere else for my special cat litter and the owner is so sweet.

Very friendly workers. My only complaint would be is that their pet treats you buy by the pound are a bit pricey and their peanut butter heart mini treats was very crumbly though but my dog loved his treats we bought for his birthday

Great selection of dog products and prices are reasonable. Better stuff than Petco or Petsmart. Staff is always friendly and helpful!

After a long day of working, I took a loooong afternoon nap. Only to wake up totally forgetting that it was my furry best friends’ birthday. I knew that Forever Pets had cute pet friendly cupcakes and donuts and wanted to get some as a small birthday treat. So I rushed from Clackamas, all the way into town with about 30 minutes to spare until they had to close.
As I apologized for being a last minute customer, the staff welcomed me in, told me not too worry and were sooo friendly. I told them that it was my dogs 16^th birthday and my others furry kids 12^th birthday. What I liked about them is that they asked me all about my two furry kids. They asked specific questions to make sure that their recommendations fit my dog’s lifestyle. With that, I even asked them what type of treats were favorites within the pet store and they directed me to some organic dry frozen treats (which became a total hit with my dogs, thanks for the recommendation).
They were even so kind to give us small samples of treats as a birthday present for my furever pups. This place continues to get 5-​stars here on Unilocal and I can totally see why. They have an array of items for your pets and their customer service was stellar.
I’m definitely coming back for sure. Thank you so much to the staff at Furever pets, you surely helped make my furry kids’ birthday truly special. I’ve uploaded photos to show just how excited they were. :)

This place is a pet’s wonderland. Upscale shopping for your urban 4-​legged companions. Need fancy food bowls? Need them elevated off the floor? How about the world’s most comfortable dog bed? What’s the thread count on your existing dog bed? Don’t know? Amateur.
We recently purchased a little too much harness for a dog with a spinal injury and realized we needed to step it down a bit, but stick with the same manufacturer. I called around town, and only Furever Pets knew exactly the brand and harness I was talking about, and set it aside for us so it would be there when we arrived. That is terrific customer service, and I am grateful for their expertise.
I often foster dogs for Multnomah County Animal Services. Many of them have challenging grooming needs. The fine folks at Furever Pets have been very knowledgeable about the right grooming product to recommend depending on the type of coat a dog has, not to mention its current condition.
It’s one thing to shop in a place where employees can point you to Aisle 7 between texting and popping bubbles. It’s another thing entirely to shop in a place where employees know their products, know the differences and similarities among products, and can provide considered recommendations based on your specific circumstances. In a world full of Amazon Prime, customer service is where today’s customers are earned and retained.

It’s so cute! Clean! Always something new and fun window displays! It’s a store where Capone my little min-​pin loves to come and where «we» feel welcomed! That is huge. Everyone that works here clearly loves animals. I began coming here when Furever Pets first opened. I love Simon’s infectious personality. I trust the food they sell and no it’s ALWAYS only the best. The clothing/​collars I’ve purchased here are very high quality and hold up for years. I recommend Furever Pets to everyone. I am now a business owner on Broadway myself and love run over to see what’s new. Even if I don’t have Capone with me. They always remember me by name. That means a lot! I love supporting local. I’m so happy for Simon watching his business continue to grow. He so deserves it! I also love that they have adoption days set up. Not occasionally. But, all the time this this business gives back. That does not go unnoticed. FAVORITE PLACE! A+++

Wow! What a great pet supply store! I just moved to the neighborhood and had forgotten to pick up litter during my errands. Decided to stop in and was met with warm greetings. I’ve gone to another small pet supply place (on Mississippi) and despite good reviews, every time I went there I felt like I was inconveniencing them and found many of the clerks rude! What a refreshing difference coming here!
I was able to browse the store on my own and finally decided on a new litter to try. As I got to the counter and was being rung up, I noticed the clerk talking about my order and overhead one say, «Oh just give it to her for free and we’ll figure it out.» This, obviously, intrigued me. The clerk went on to explain that World’s Best Cat Litter offers the bag I got for free the first time you buy it, they were just out of the vouchers; they gave me the bag for free anyway! That was already an awesome turn of events… but then I casually asked about the seeming samples (various dry foods/​treats) behind the counter and the clerk spent the next 10 – 15 minutes giving me samples, explaining each one (including if they have s frequent buyer program) and showing me other great products on the shelf that I knew little to nothing about! It was an overwhelming amount of info BUT she was so thoughtful that I didn’t mind listening. Am now considering changing up my cat’s food to make it even more healthy!
So glad to have a great shop like this just a few blocks away from home!

This is a nice, friendly place with a fair selection, but most things seemed about 15% more expensive than at nearby Meat.

Came here the last time I was in Portland when the dollar was better to get some dog toys. Large enough store with great customer service.

Everyone in the shop was super friendly and all were eager to help. I came in to look for some puppy toys and treats to bring back to California so I asked for things that were locally made in Oregon and they had a lot of choices for me. I also bought some super cute treats that looked like mini cupcakes with sprinkles.

I found this place when my dog needed an extra large harness leash in a hurry, and this place was 1) close by and 2) open after 7pm. I really liked how they helped me find a possible harness and how I was able to exchange it for an even bigger one when it wasn’t big enough. This place a great pet store vibe. While there I discovered my dog’s new favorite treat, the «Beams» fish strips. They are spendy and stinky but they make my dog so happy.

I am from Seattle. Went to Portland for the Garth concert and I Unilocaled dog store in that area because I had time to kill. Everyone at Furever Pets were really nice! Well seemed like everyone in Portland is nice. Well anyways, I bought a harness from Furever pets & when I got home the harness is to small for my puppy. So I emailed them that night and they emailed me back first thing in the morning telling me they have a large harness but in a different color & sent me a pic (which I don’t mind) and she gave me the option. I can either return the one I bought and get my money back/​send the medium back and they’ll send me the large or I can just wait until I go back to Portland to exchange for something else. I love how they got got back to me right away and was willing to work with me :)

This store is quite spacious and gives off the vibe of big business but is surprisingly a small business.
I go here for high quality indoor pet food for my cats. They have a wide selection of anything you could want or need for your cat (s) and/​or dog (s). If you have a sweater wearing pooch, this is the store for you. They also have the best assortment of Halloween costumes for pets.
I randomly met the owner of the Happiest Cat, cat tree company a few years back and I was happy to see that his trees are sold here. They are well made and actually attractive. It never fails that when I have house guests they always compliment on my cat post. My cat Diego is on that thing 98% of his day. I noticed that another talented cat tree maker sells their work here as well.
I go out of my way to buy cat food here.

We love this store! Everyone’s friendly and knowledgeable. Vast selection of both dog and cat food. A huge variety of doggy outfits (costumes, raincoats, shirts) and lots of different accoutrements that you’ll love. Lots of cat toys, several locally handmade cat trees/​condos. Cat and dog toys, collars and fun stuffs. Fair prices. Really, just wonderful. I highly recommend them.

I am very fortunate to live so close to this pet supply store, it makes it that much easier to support a great local business, as well as feed/​litter my unemployed, ingrate felines.
Every staff member I’ve had the pleasure of encountering has been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They greet you when you enter the store (unless they are crazy busy, or understandably fawning over one of the great dogs that visits), and it’s great to talk shop with them as many of them care for their own beasts as well.
To top it off, they frequently host adoption/​donation drives for OHS and other rescues.

My wife and I are purchasing a puppy this evening and, being first time pet owners, I was fairly unfamiliar with what I needed to welcome our new pet into our home. Simon, the owner, took the time to describe the process of raising a new puppy and gave me lots of basic training, treats, food, and leash tips. While they did not have the particular crate in stock that we needed for our new dog, Simon called around and found one for me at another pet shop. Simon has earned a loyal customer. I am a salesman and let me tell you… the customer service I received here is as good as it gets.

This place fur-​sure has a ton of products for all your fur beings’ needs. I went in here looking for one of those soft carriers for cats that you can put under your seat when you fly. They’ve got them here and they are the official ones so you won’t have a problem boarding with one. There are a ton to choose from.
They’ve got your toys, bowls, and all the usuals that you did not know you could not do without.
They’ve also got the really decent cat/​dog food. If my cats could type a review they would agree. And, if my dog could review she would Unilocal
