G&R Auto Wreckers

I had a very smooth experience, facilitated by Progressive.
Ordered a driver side mirror to be sent up from Albany location; within a few days I received a phone call to say it arrived. The following morning, I drove (WAY OUT!) to get it. Cost was what they had quoted Progressive, and condition was better than I expected. Bonus: It was the same weird color as my car, so I didn’t have to paint it.
As for the super negative review — doesn’t surprise me. This is not a fortune 500 company. It’s an Auto Wrecker company! They’re hiring people willing to work in an auto graveyard in like way rural-​industrial Portland. If the story is true, my two cents are that Wes might want to step up his customer service, just because… YOLO, Wes! YOLO.

this is the second time and last time i will deal with this location. first time it was an awful experience until i spoke with a lady and fixed the situation. this second time was worse. i had called the day before and asked if they had a passenger side mirror available. which they did and the price was not bad. i asked the condition of the mirror because mine was stained. the guy said it was good. and the best part that it was the color i needed. the next day i go (about an hour drive) the guy Wes was there. took about 5 minutes looking for paper and couldnt find it. i told him i called the day before and they told me they had it. he then finds it, gets it and says its 60.00. the condition of the mirror was worse than what they told me. i asked Wes nicely if i can take a picture and sent it to my friend. he said you need to pay for it before it leaves… i repeated myself and told him i wasnt going anywhere. he said fine. then we decided not to buy because of the condition. while i was walking out he said bye he murmured “thats why you have to pay before we pull it out“ i turned around and asked him to repeat himself. he did and i told him that we called in advance and asked about the condition and was told it was good. i showed him the condition of the mirror i had and what i was looking for, once again i COMPLETELY understand its a used part. when i was leaving he said i should call Mercedes Benz and buy a new one since thats what im looking for. i decided to leave and be the bigger person.
Wes is by far the worst worker. he is so rude. he helped a guy while i was there and answered the phone and he was also rude to them. i cant believe a company would have someone like that in the office. i really hope i never have to deal with him again.
