Blaine from Gary’s came out to my house– I purchased this place a year ago – at a very good price but just about all the systems in the house had been abused/​broken and were in some state of disrepair. Blaine was great. He called on his way, was on time, was a great representative for Gary’s. It ended up it was best to replace the unit as it comes with a ten year warranty and he helped me with the right accessories and put my junky old ones in the garage– the family will be so psyched– we can vaccum the cars now! Awesome

We love central vac. Couldn’t imagine using an ordinary vac like some kind of caveman. Used Gary’s twice in the last 15 years to install central vac systems in new construction. The first time, around 2001, they did fine. System worked well, properly sized and priced. The second time (2010) was awful. FAR more expensive per sqft, underpowered, and the accessories are garbage. When we had a vac extension handle break after only a year, Gary’s offered to sell us another of the exact same poorly designed device for full retail price. We’ve had failures in the carpet head and the hardwood floor head as well. Each time, they did nothing. And I know we’re not particularly hard on them, because we had similar devices in our first house (though earlier, better-​designed models) and they worked well. So basically Gary’s doesn’t stand behind their products in our experience.

We have had nothing but GREAT service and help from the guys at Gary’s Vacuflo. Dave especially has been an enormous help, saving me time and money by diagnosing things over the phone to save of service calls. They installed our vacuum in our previous house 10 years ago and now that we are in a new house they are still providing the same great service! I would HIGHLY recommend them and would never think of going elsewhere!

Gary’s installed my vacuum in early 2002. It gas worked flawlessly until two weeks ago when the suction disappeared. I dismounted it, took it to the Flavel office and within five minutes it was diagnosed!
The motor needed to be replaced.
After thirteen + years of hard service, I was not surprised.
Then I got the big news, it was covered by warranty, it would cost just $ 40 labor, and it would be ready that afternoon!
Awesome service!
I wish every business was as responsive, friendly and efficient as Gary’s.
And oh, the products are great, too!

September 2015 visit– can’t recommend the in home servicing. For $ 160 the only thing they did was fix the turbocat vaccum appliance and empty the bin. They didnt fix the on/​off switch nor did they provide a new hose or hose sleeve. I expected more.

We considered less expensive systems and ultimately decided you get what you pay for. The sales manager, Michael, worked with us to make sure we were happy with options and price. The installation tech arrived on time and had great ideas on the best way to accomplish the retrofit of our home. We couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic service. Recently had them install a central vac in our new home and they did a good job. A month later they called to see if we were happy with the system or had any questions (I should add that they are the only company who has taken the time to ask us how we like the product they installed). As it was I had been struggling with it so I explained the problem. She promised to relay the problem to her boss. Much to my surprise he later called me and suggested an upgraded part that would solve the problem I was having and he offered it to us at a huge discount because he wanted us to be happy with the system. Their service guy, Dave, came out today and quickly installed the upgraded part to our system then he took the time to make sure I understood how to operate the system and change the bags. I wish all the contractors we have had to deal with during our new home build were as professional and customer service friendly as Gary’s Vacuflo.

Called 3 times over several hours today just to get ahold of the parts department for a hose replacement. Spoke with at least 6 different switchboard people, who apparently aren’t on-​site, and never did get parts department or anyone who could tell me anything. Tried to get direct line phone number for any of their metro location stores, to no avail. I live about 30 miles from Portland, so I’m not going to drive all the way over there without checking on parts first. About the most annoying phone system I’ve ever encountered. Wish there was another source for Vacuflo parts!

I wish there was an alternative to this place for central vac service. Their service people are very curt, and there is always a mix up. They are never on time, and don’t let you know. There is just always some issue. If anyone has an alternative central vac place, would appreciate if you post.

We recently moved into a house that was plumbed for central vac, but the power unit was never installed by the previous owner. We called Gary’s for an estimate. They were out today to install the equipment.
Highly professional and made sure I thoroughly understood how to operate it. He also had additional tools that we wanted. The system itself is amazing. It can do so much more than a vacuum cleaner. And better than our vacuum. We are so glad to get rid of our clunky vacuum cleaner.
Gary’s people were thoroughly professional and made us feel great about our purchase. The install was fast and flawless. I’d highly recommend Gary’s.

Gary’s Vacuflo service technician visited my house today & I am so glad I called them. Turns out my central vac had been venting onto my A/​C unit since the house was built in 1999. We just bought this house, & I have been getting all sorts of things checked out. The technician told me he could fix it easily so the unit vents away from my a/​c unit outside. He checked everything thoroughly & taught me how to clean the system.
I will definitely call them again in a couple of years just so that they can check out the system again.
I love my Vacuflo.

This is the place to go for all your central vacumn system and more. Dave was so helpful and professional when I went in to have the head of my vacumn looked at. He cleaned it and less than 10mins, I was on my way. He could not have been nicer and knowledgeable.

I’m surprised no one has written anything about these guys. First of all Central vac is awesome and if you ever have the opportunity to install it you will not be disappointed. This dealer in particular is very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you have any problems with attachments Dave in the Flavel shop is the master. He will get everything figured out and fixed fast and if he can free (if its a warrenty issue) He is great at letting you know if the problem is something he can take care of in the shop so you will not have to pay the high house call visits.
