Just had a horrible customer service experience. I purchased a lamp that they then gave away to another customer. Of course, nobody told me and I waited by the front desk for a half hour until I could get service. No reason, no apology… nothing. Thanks for nothing Josh. You guys could use some real service training and learn how to recover when things don’t go right.

The most absolute worst experience ever. My husband and I own a business and went in to look at some lighting for a house we are flipping. We walked around for 45 min and not 1 person came up and asked if they could help us. I will never do business with a company that won’t even acknowledge you. I will take all of my business elsewhere.

This review is only based on our experience with Joshua today. We came in because we are building a new home and our builder recently switched to Globe as their new lighting vendor. Joshua was AMAZING to work with. He was so nice and patient, gave us suggestions and not to mention very knowledgeable whenever we had questions about anything. This is the kind of customer service I love and hope every business /person should treat their customers. They have a wide selection of lighting /fans, but I can’t say anything about the delivery, installation or quality of their products just yet. Hopefully everything will work out fine since we were a little worried reading the negative reviews, but dealing with Joshua made us feel more confident in our selection and the whole process. Thanks again Josh! :)

We worked with people in the NW and Clackamas stores. They are very well trained, professional, and helpful. Everything we bought(sight unseen, from the on-line catalog) is perfect except for one torchiere. We brought it back because it was poorly made and shoddy. They took it back with no restocking fee. They have given us a lot of very helpful advice about light bulbs and how to light our craftsman house to advantage. We worked with Rey in NW and Josh in Clackamas. Both are really great to work with, friendly, patient, very well trained

My designer spent over $ 600 on a simple light fixture. How long should it last? After getting the middle finger from globe it appears the answer to that is 18 months.

I am not an interior decorator, and so when I was building my house I was pretty nervous to pick out the lighting. Globe has a HUGE selection, which is a plus, but it can be very intimidating to navigate. Amy was one of the nicest, most patient, helpful people I have ever worked with. She figured out my style, went above and beyond when things went wrong to fix them ASAP, dealt with my anxiety over purchases, and really helped me to get what I want within my budget. Globe obviously empowers their employees to make good business decisions on their behalf. I was also impressed by the receptionist, who fielded my sometimes 3x a day calls to whomever I needed to speak to and never got irritated. If you are looking for large or small lighting purchases, I would certainly recommend going to Globe first.

I purchased a ceiling fan from Globe Lighting 5 years ago and recently had to get a replacement for the wall control unit. I was given the wrong replacement 2 times before they realized which one it actually needed. Three weeks and $ 50 later I finally had the correct wall unit. If I ran my business with this amount of incompetence, I would go out of business.

Globe Lighting has the largest variety of lighting in pdx. They mostly have traditional and classic looking fixtures on display. Unfortunately the retail space isn’t ideal with too many fixtures too close together and very low ceilings. They do have excellent pricing though. Tthis is also their distribution warehouse location, so you can usually pick up anything they have in stock right away. They also have a good online website/catalog for odering/browsing that gives you all the product info.
