Hair’en Dipity

Wow. I was treated so nicely, and got a great haircut for a very reasonable price. I have never felt so comfortable in a hair salon, and now I see why they get such great reviews! I will certianly return for hair manintace visits for now on.

I first went in August and just had my second appointment. My first time going, I’d called on a whim to see if they could squeeze me in for a cut and color later that day and was lucky enough to get Veronika. She really took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. I’ve been doing a lot of pin-​up styles lately, so was looking for a much longer variation of a middy (a tricky cut to get right). At first, I was apprehensive about adding layers even though it’s traditional, but she explained that it would help to really show off the curls. She even took on the laborious task of cutting the layers in with scissors, as my hair does not respond well to razors. While it took some time to get the cut just right, it was well worth it — my hair has never looked better!
In addition to the best haircut I have ever had, Veronika did a wonderful job on my color. I’d been getting by on box color, but my hair was paying the price. She was able to magically get my «hair of many colors» to one uniform, natural color and cover up my many stubborn grays at the same time. Instead of feeling like straw, my hair feels silky, healthy, and lush. The dye is so gentle too — I have sensitive skin and asthma so being able to get my hair dyed without my scalp stinging or wheezing from the harsh scent is a godsend!
Bonus: I always take it as a good sign when a stylist has healthy locks, and Veronika’s are always flawless!

I saw Tammy on my first visit to this salon. I’m so glad I got her. I have fine and oily hair that I’ve always struggled with. She made my hair look amazing! I’m in love with it again. I highly recommend that anyone who is not happy with their hair visit Tammy, she works miracles!

Got a wild hair, literally, and wanted my hair done spontaneously, which is how I usually roll. Anyway, I called all around and of course everyone was booked. I gave it one last shot and called this salon and lo and behold, yes, they could fit me in with Tammy. It was the universe working because I got the best blond spectrum dye job I think I have ever had. When I say that, I truly mean it because my hair has been every color under the sun. I am loving my color so much.

Ellie did a great job on my hair, I had several colors and wanted it all one color with blonde highlights. I recommend her very highly.

This is my second time here, and Ellie and her staff are great! They helped me find just the right color for my hair. They really know what they’re doing and put you right at ease. They are super friendly and make sure you have a good experience. You will leave here feeling fabulous!

Brande knows her hair! Great girl, so fun to talk with the time flew by. then when I was done I got to see the amazing work she did. Turning my less than fab hair into a red carpet ready fresh color and cut, everyone has been complimenting me. No more searching for a new place to get my hair done, she is my go to now!

Ellie is awesome. She took very good care of me. I had a poor experience with someone who burned my scalp and she did a great job of checking in with me and making sure she used the correct amount of product. My hair looks great!

Elli took what could have been a horrible experience and turned it into a great one. Due to a snaff-​fu there was no one there when I arrived for my appointment. I called and Elli came down and not only did my hair on her off day but took time to tame my unruly locks and put in fantastic color. She made me feel like a million; like I was the only thing that matter today.
The real test of good customer service isn’t when things are perfect, but how the business handles the occasional mess up. Thanks so much for a great experience.

This place is great. I got exactly what I wanted out of my trip, which was to cut off 8−12″ inches of mangled fried hair from a lot of DIY hair dye adventures, and re-​bleach it from my natural off-​black hair to a color light enough to dye over again. Brande did a fantastic job at both cutting my hair and keeping it healthy and soft after bleaching it for literally an hour and a half. I’d definitely recommend this place.

I am always nervous to go to a new stylist but I instantly felt at ease with Elli. She did a great job on the cut and color and made my hair look a million times better. Not the most accessible location to most Portlanders but totally worth the trip

I’m not someone who usually stays faithful to one stylist. Brande at Hair en dipity has changed this for me. Normally, when it’s time for a hair cut I will just find a deal on groupon. It usually works out fine for me. This time around, I saw a groupon available, called Hair en dipity and spoke with Brande. She was willing to squeeze me in that afternoon for a cut and color. Not only did she do an amazing job with my hair… She also had a great personality that made the experience a ton of fun! I have received more compliments on my hair than ever before! From now on, I will only go to Brande!

Brandie will my hair stylist forever now! The spa has a wonderfully charming feel to it, and the stylists are so friendly and warm. I was offered a beverage when I came in while I waited, and was seen very shortly after. Brandie knew exactly what I was looking for, and respected all of my input. Brandie was so fun to talk to, and even styled my hair beautifully before I left to show off my new highlights! I will be recommending her to everyone I know, and wish I had gone to her sooner.

Elli did my hair today, and I LOVE it! I got dark brown, purple, and blue highlights and a haircut. She spent the whole afternoon making sure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted. I even had a low blood sugar crisis, and she dug up a snack for me to keep me sated while I waited for my fiancé to bring me something from home.
Not only are my highlights beautiful and saturated, she actually listened to me when I said not to cut off too much from the length… what a concept! I will definitely be going back! Thanks, Elli!

I had a great experience at Hair’en Dipity! Hannah cut my hair and it turned out perfectly, I am happy to have found a sweet spot in my neighborhood that gives quality cuts at a reasonable price! My boyfriend and I will definitely be back. And they do shellac manicure too, awesome. :)

Hair’en Dipity is great! It’s just opened in recent months by hair colorist extraordinaire, Elli, and she’s done a great job with it. I believe Elli may be the best hair colorist n Portland. She does an amazing job and is fully confident in what she’s doing.

I have been a client of Elli’s for color & cuts for almost 10 years (give or take) now, and every time I walk out feeling like a million bucks! I always get compliments on my hair after wards from complete strangers, coworkers, family and friends. My boyfriend will actually give me money to get my hair done because he likes to see what new style/​color Elli will fit me with next! She always spends as much time as needed to get what you want exactly right. I don’t know about you, but I hate feeling rushed out of the chair or being made to feel just like a number She won’t let you leave until you’re completely happy with how you look, and I have NEVER left unhappy. She’s a fantastic stylist & a really great person — you will fall in love with her & her work!
