My review is for the single square take out pieces… They are wonderful and filling with nice toppings. I’m not usually a fan of deep dish style crusts. Although it was thick, the dough didn’t sit a heavily as I thought. In a pinch, Hammy’s is helpful! I’ve heard mixed reviews of the delivery/round take-outs from people living in the area. I’ll have to try for myself.

I have been ordering pizza from hammys for years. I have always been satisfied with their pizza, except tonight. I ordered the super veggie, I understand that veggies are wet and will have some water to it, however when I received my pizza it was so wet that it was inedible. I called to let them know about my dissatisfaction, they offered to send out another pizza. I declined that offer since I was about to head to bed, and didn’t have time to wait another hour for another pizza. I talked to what I’m assuming was the manager on duty, she declined my request for a refund. I think it is absurd to decline a long standing customer a refund for a pizza that was so covered in water that I couldn’t even eat it. I will not be returning for future service.

If you like greasy, this is the pizza for you. I don’t. My guess is that Hammy’s relies on how late is open as opposed to the quality of the food. I’ve only had it once but I think that was enough.

Ok so we’ve been on the hunt for a fantastic vegan pizza… we’ve had some good ones… and then we fell in love with Hammy’s …we demolished… savored… basically tried not to inhale this amazing, fresh, rich and saucy vegan Greek pizza. It will be hard not to go back every day… so unbelievably delicious.

Hammy’s VEGAN pizza is the best thing ever. There are so many tasty toppings and generously sprinkled fine nut pieces on it, you cannot even tell that there is no cheese that tends to give juicy texture. Try it for yourself, even though you don’t look for vegan food. Many of my carnivore friends are converted when it comes to choosing their pizza at Hammy’s and go for the vegan.

Hammy’s has a very delicious huge pizza!!! It’s got that perfectly floppy pizza with perfectly crunchy crust thing going on and I dig it!!! I also dig that they have fun ingredients that their competitors don’t like pine nuts and roasted cloves of garlic. Vegan, gluten free or both? Bam! They got you covered with stuff like field roast(though mine wasn’t really crispy the way I wished it were), vegan cheese and gluten free crust. They have a pretty easy to use online order system that you can customize with. There’s a 45 min wait time but so what? Just pop on America’s Next Top Model and you’ll here a knock before you know it ;) UPDATE: They also have gr8 calzones and cheesy bread

Yes, pizza is something I like. Really like, actually. You could even call me a pizza-connoisseur. At the end of the day, Hammy’s seems to come down to something a little less than Dominos quality, extremely expensive, and a 5x Dominos wait. Let me save you the trouble – stick to Dominos on this one. Absolute waste of time and energy waiting, along with food that tastes like crap. Never again, Hammy’s.

Pizza ordered at 5:56PM. Driver at my door at 7:21. That’s pretty much an hour and a half. Too many other places to order from. See ya, Hammy’s.

I live really close to here so I get a drunken deep dish made to order slice on my way home from the bars almost monthly. Their slices are cheep, delicious and filling. The one time I got delivered an actual pizza from here it was way over priced and not the same.

I checked their delivery area and saw that I was maybe 3 minutes outside of it. I noticed that their website states«after 9pm our delivery area expands to cover almost all of the Portland metro area». I tried to order at 1 am and was told I was out of their delivery area by 20 blocks. Apparently their website is a lie then and their delivery area doesn’t expand. I had their pizza once before and it was alright. I just wanted some late night pizza and since I had to drive, I went to Sizzle Pie instead.

I’m going to tell a story, stop me if you’ve heard it before. Man orders pizza. Man eats pizza. 5 hours later man runs for the toilet to un-eat the same pizza. REPEAT. No, seriously, do this three or four times in a two month period, and then you’ve got my Hammy’s experience. Service is fine. Delivery is… fast enough(less than an hour). The pies… are unique, for sure, with various house specials that may or not be appetizing to you. For the price, you’d better be damn sure you’re getting what you want. My problem feels like it’s the bacon — or some other ingredient that’s been on all the pies my roommates get. I don’t have this issue with other places, just Hammy’s. The slices sit heavy and if I try to sleep or lay down it’s just asking for trouble. Looks, smells and tastes great on the way down. Always finds a way back up. You can do better, Portland. Pass.

The Sicilian slices are always on point. I love the amount of toppings and the fact that they use whole garlic cloves.

Always on the quest for a good pizza. Tried this place for the first time and it was delicious. You could actually taste the cheese which was left in the oven long enough to get golden brown in places. Yummmm.

The pizza is great. I’m only able to get delivery after 9 pm, and sometimes I wait to order because its that good. The dough is wonderful, fresh ingredients, and fast service. As a Midwesterner, and a TOTALFOODIEWITHGREATTASTE, their ranch is bomb. Yes I said it.

Horrible. After waiting for about an hour and a half, my food was finally delivered to my house. It was lukewarm and flavorless. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

Have to avoid this spot when I’m on a diet. It’s so good! Never done a late night delivery from them(probably for the best, re: diet). Their Supreme was one of the best I’ve had in years. Wish they had a full restaurant with drinks etc. that’s what keeps them from 5 stars from me.

I’ve been a customer of Hammy’s pretty much since it’s inception. When it first came about, they dropped by flyer on our door in NePo and behold, one late night, we opted to try it. It came fast and fresh and my roommmates and I at the time becamse frequent customers. I then moved out of Portland proper for awhile and no more Hammy’s. Well, I’m back! And one night, I was craving pizza along with a lack of desire to order the typical as-seen-on-TV options. And they deliver to my area after 9pm! Huzzah! I pretty much always get the Hammypolitan(mozzarella, red sauce, olive oil & fresh basil). It’s pretty much my favorite! I always get a full size, even just for lil olé me, so I have plenty of leftovers for the week. Delivery hasn’t ever taken more than an hour, and they always follow directions to give me a call(since I live in a studio basement and my landlords would be confused to get a pizza they didn’t order).

As a New Yorker, ANY place in Portland open to 4am gets an automatic star from me! Also one star for having a tasty gluten free crust. The guys are super friendly and they even remember your name and what you like! Super convenient, great topping choices, awesome food.

Yum! Can’t beat the delivery hours, pizza is super tasty, nostalgic of a different era of pizza. Generous toppings, not under baked. Nice staff. Yay!

Pizza was good but nothing outstanding. For spending $ 25 on a pizza I was expecting a little better quality ingredients. Nothing really wrong with the pizza, I think it’s more a personal preference. I did appreciate how friendly the staff was, some of the best customer service I’ve had in awhile.

I would actually give this 3.5 stars, but since it’s hard to find a decent vegan pizza, I bumped them up to 4 stars. Hammy’s was 3rd on our vegan pizza tour. We got a couple of the Greek vegan pizzas and a couple of the vegan sausage pizzas. I liked the Greek one the best. They were good, but they so far, do not measure up to the other vegan pizza places we’ve tried so far. But if I were nearby, I would definitely order up another pizza!

Ordered again because I have a problem, I guess. I really, really, really want Hammy’s wings to be acceptable so I can spend an embarrassing amount of money on them. I didn’t order them this time, but that deserves its own statement. Got the Hammypolitan calzone, King earls calzone, cheesy bread and a side of buffalo sauce. Hammypolitan calzone(+pepperoni) was legit if greasy. King Earl’s calzone must have been legit. I didn’t try it, but it got eaten. Cheesy bread was extra, extra done(but not burnt). Buffalo sauce was missing. The special sauce was an additional $ 0.50 and normally I’d be like ‘Aw what the heck? Oh well its $ 0.50″, but then I noticed my bill was $ 1 cheaper than my online total(paid via CC). So I’m missing my fifty cent sauce and my bill is a dollar cheaper than it was supposed to be. I’m not really sure what happened there. Seriously though, get on your chicken wing game. Everyone else who delivers bakes their wings and it is legitimately nasty. Help me help you take my money.

I am a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur, any pizza is good pizza. I had Hammy’s for the first time last night and I was not displeased. I got the Chicken Pesto calzone but substituted the Pesto for the Garlic Herb sauce. It was so delicious and flavorful! The broccoli and tomatoes tasted fresh and crunchy. The mix of flavors was absolutely superb! The calzone was the perfect size and when I was finished, I didn’t get that, «This was a mistake, please kill me,» feeling. I felt perfectly full and satisfied! I can’t say anything negative about the taste or the serving size. I think the price jumps quite a bit from calzone to personal pizza to large pizza but the quality seems worth it to me. I’m always down to eat pizza but while I’m in Portland I’m only going to crave Hammy’s.
