My sister and I discovered this nursery filled with an oasis of edible plants and eagerly went to check it out in person. We were not disappointed. I have never written a review about anything before, but after my visit to Harvest Nursery, I feel compelled to. While the site itself is in small in size compared to the larger chain nurseries, they manage to maintain an extremely vast and very well organized selection of edibles. In addition to all of the potted selections they also have many fully established examples planted in the ground to show you how the plant will mature. The staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We arrived with only a short amount of time before closing and never once felt rushed by the staff. In fact, the opposite proved to be true. My sister and I received a personal tour of the grounds as well as detailed explanations to all of our plethora of questions about everything from planting to pruning to the difference in the offered varieties. I frequent many different nurseries and have never been so impressed with the selection of edibles and most importantly with the service of the staff members. If you are looking to plant a fruit tree or even just some herbs in your yard, I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem. You will not regret the trip out there.

Insane selection of fruit trees and bushes at what is probably the lowest prices I have ever seen. Prices are $ 5 for one gallon, $ 10 for two gallon and $ 15 for three gallon of everything! Staff was very helpful and informative. Also their website is very well put together which is a plus for planning. I bought red and white grape vines, currents, pineapple guava, pink and red currents, honeyberries, gooseberries, three types of blueberries, strawberries, pineberries, a fig tree, and gogi berries. They have stuff that you cant find at a standard nursery. I cant tell you how happy I was to find this place, and I hope they stay in business for a long long time.

I have been to Harvest Nursery twice already. They have a lot of plants that you will not find anywhere else in Portland. They specialize in edible plants(which I love). The staff is also very friendly. The parking can get kind of tight when it is busy but there is always parking across the street. I can’t wait to see what new stock they have this spring!

Best deal by far for edible plants I’ve seen. Had I known about them sooner I could have saved hundreds. They have both common and rare temperate fruits. I drove 200 miles to get there and I will do it again! Great job guys! I was going to go to Raintree but they have better deals by far and plant sizes were very good. The help was amazing also. We had personal help for the hour we were there and bought about 20 mixed trees and bushes for $ 200. Some of the plants we bought we had gotten similar plants locally for $ 70/ea. Visit them. You won’t be disappointed!

I went here with my family to buy some pineapple guava. We ended up buying six guavas, a black Persian mulberry, and a lot of other plants. We bought two giant Korean pears advertised at 30 dollars which is pretty cheap for how big they are and when they rang us up, it was only 25! Cool beans! I also checked in on Unilocal and they gave me a free 4″ plant for free. I decided to get a rosemary plant. I was pleasantly surprised with this nursery. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is definitely a great place to shop for plants. It is definitely a smelly place though.

Fruit trees are way too expensive here. 5 foot trees for $ 20 each. Larger trees are $ 11.50 at Costco! I just bought larger high quality trees on CL for $ 8.50 each.

I finally made it by here a few weeks ago, with the intent to pick up a cherry tree, 7 blueberries of varying ripening times, and maybe some huckleberries as under-cover. I left with 7 different high-bush blueberries — and that didn’t even exhaust their range of *high-bush* blueberries, much less the rest of the blues — 2 huckleberries, 3 lingonberries, a triple-grafted cherry, a rhubarb, and a pomegranate(!?!). All of that in gallons and larger for $ 105, which is ridiculously cheap if you know anything about plant prices. All of the plants were in great condition. The blueberries and rhubarb have transplanted nicely, with some new growth coming in on a few of the blueberries. Everyone else is waiting their turn to go in the ground, and I’ll be back soon for some paw-paws and whatever else I don’t succeed in talking myself out of. These guys are great — very knowledgeable, with wonderful stock and stupid good prices. If you have any interest at all in growing perennial food in your Oregon yard, go to here!

Amazing! Went here for the first time today in search of a black fig. Ended up leaving with a car load of amazing edible plants. The variety, quality and price are like nothing we’ve seen. Gabriel and his associate were incredibly helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back… soon! Highly recommend.
