Hostelling International

I stayed here the last time I was in Portland when I was on my bike and had a really, really pleasant experience.
The hotel is located in North West Portland on Glisan at 18^th. You’re a couple blocks from Restaurant Row on 21^st and a bunch of great little boutiques on 22^nd. It’s also just over the highway down into the Pearl district and then on to Downtown.
I stayed in the female dorms for four nights and had a really great time, things were quiet, they give you a locker for your stuff so it’s safe. Every night there is pizza by donation.
The hostel has a huge kitchen that anyone can use and a big dining room area. They also have bike storage but most people just lock them outside as it’s easier.
All in all the staff were super friendly, it was affordable and I really enjoyed my stay.
