At this point, I should get a membership card. Been here 4 times, and have never been disappointed. The Phở is not as big as some places on the West Coast, but I have yet to have a Phở that provides such fresh side vegetables and soup that isn’t loaded with MSG. This is how Vietnamese food is supposed to taste. Springy and fresh. I will continue to bring my friends and come back to Huong’s

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the state! I’ve been here 3 times, and all those 3 times gave me great experience. The service is very quick and the servers are all very friendly. The food is delicious and quite authentic! Sometimes they have special on the weekends and those are the one to have! Yeap, and the price is very reasonable also. I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends :)

A really good authentic restaurant with warm and friendly service. Excellent phở! I left my phone by accident and the staff was super nice and called me to let me know they had found it. I will be back to try some other items next time in Portland.

I got the house special vermicelli that came with BBQ pork, fried spring roll, and some other toppings. The overall flavor was pretty fresh and the portion was big. The place just seemed like an average Vietnamese place.

Tasty. Very tasty. We started off with dumplings – they were decent. For dinner we had the Vermicelli noodles with spring roll(excellent and a big portion) and the phở with beef, which was wonderful. This place is a very good bet for Vietnamese soup on a cold winter’s day. The service was fine. The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a place this wallet-friendly. Go. You’ll enjoy it.

Wow this place has some stellar phở. Portion is decent and the price is better than all the other places I have been to in the area. Additionally, they even offer a jumbo bowl, which is steps bigger than the traditional large. The shredded pork spring rolls were delicious! As before, a darn good price. I’m definitely going to be giving them my bussiness much more often. NEWFAVORITEVIETNAMESESPOT!!! HORRAY… Also, staff was family oriented and friendly.

The food is very good but the atmosphere is a bit strange. Feels a bit like a dining room converted from a former hospital or something. There was only one server when my husband and I went in for dinner and she was busy but still managed to check in and be friendly. The lo mein is awesome.

The five of us had a good meal here, delicious soups and great Spring Rolle to start. Our waitress was super especially because the family hadn’t eaten Vietnamese before. Highly recommended.

I’m a big fan of Vietnamese food and since moving to the Portland Area I’ve tried several and liked one a lot(Thanh Thanh 2) and was underwhelmed by the rest. A random person suggested I try Huong’s and since I had an appointment across the street, I did. DAY-UM, it was good, from top to bottom! The service was excellent and the food was the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Portland. I had the shrimp fresh rolls(Vietnamese fresh rolls could be my favorite food on Earth :)) and the«rare steak» phở. It was the first time ever that I didn’t have to add some sort of flavoring to the phở broth. I will definitely be back again!

Huong’s offers tasty noodle soups just like my mother makes at home. Their hu tieu mi is delicious, hot, and cheap! They also offer daily specials like bo kho(beef stew) and bun bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup). There’s plenty of seating. Park your car across the street and walk over.

I am Asian and I’ve been to many if not ALL of the Vietnamese restaurants around the area including Portland. and Huong’s s the BEST. One of my pet peeves of going to an Asian restaurant is the owners don’t give Asians the same attention as Caucasians. I don’t know if its because we are also Asian? but we want the same excellent service & attention when we go out to dine when we don’t feel like cooking especially when we know we can cook the same at home. My boyfriend ordered the rice combo plate and I ordered the phở. The food was great but most importantly quality and service. The owner’s daughter was the sole server and there were about 5 tables in the mid afternoon this past Sunday. She was fast and on top of things. she was polite and courteous and always had a smile. I couldn’t have been happier.

My foodie-est friend has been to most of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area and said Huong’s is the best. I hadn’t been to any Vietnamese restaurants in the area, and I trust her judgement, so we went to Huong’s for phở a few nights ago. My big bowl of chicken phở(phở ga) was only $ 7.95. It was topped with cilantro and scallions, and served with a plate of bean sprouts, lime wedges, jalapeño pepper slices, long leaves of culantro(similar to but not the same as cilantro), and Thai basil. The broth was flavorful and the chicken and noodles were tender and plentiful. I could have eaten the whole bowl as it was served, but since it was there, I added culantro and basil, a few beans, a squeeze of lime, a swirl of sriracha, and got started. It was amazing — steamy and fragrant and filling. Eating this phở made me happy! About halfway through the bowl, I was full. Three quarters of the way through I was stuffed and had to quit. I took the rest home and my boyfriend happily consumed it. I’ll be glad to try the phở at other restaurants, but it’s hard to imagine that it could taste any better anywhere else. Notable details: –the server brought a pot of tea to the table as soon as we sat down. It was a nice tea — jasmine, I think, and the teapot and matching cups were very pretty! –I had a sip of my friend’s Vietnamese iced coffee and it was delicious! I can’t drink coffee at night because the caffeine keeps me awake but I seriously considered sacrificing a night of sleep and ordering one for myself! –our server was very kind and attentive

I’ve been dipping my toes into the Vietnamese restaurants in the Portland area and I have no idea what took me so long! This place is great! My first visit was recently during my month of vegetarianism so I couldn’t enjoy the phở but it looked and smelled amazing. The portion was generous and came with the usual additions of basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos and lime. I will definitely be back to try it because it looked really good. I ordered the crispy noodle veggie stir fry which was awesome and a huge portion. I had a giant plate of crispy fried noodles covered in a tasty, spicy sauce with veggies. I went for 3 stars on the heat level but it felt like 5 stars. There was a load of chili flakes in the sauce and I’m glad for my glass of water. I love spicy food so I wasn’t complaining at all. The prices are really reasonable even during dinnertime. I was really impressed with the service we received. Most of the tables were full in the restaurant and I quickly figured out that there was only one waitress for the entire place. Despite this, our waitress was incredibly friendly and pleasant. She never once showed any stress and was very attentive to everyone. Granted we had to wait a little longer to put in our order and receive it, but she was doing an amazing job of keeping an eye on the entire place without freaking out. I give her major props for that.

We have tried most if not all of the Vietnamese restaurants Maine. Huong’s is probably our favorite. We found it accidentally on a search for Vietnamese sandwiches in Portland. Coincidentally(or not so much). It is on the same block as Kim’s Gift shop. A small Vietnamese store that sells homemade Vietnamese sandwiches and steamed buns. The soups are delicious and the broth was very tasty. The sides are generous. Prices are reasonable. This is not a fancy establishment, but who really wants a fancy Vietnamese restaurant anyway? Definitely stop in. You will not regret it.

Finally, I have found the perfect complement to PhoEver Maine on the East side of town. As winter curls around the streets of Casco Bay, opening the door at Huong’s brings the warm aromas of long stewed Phở broth and a brightly lit welcome. I go to Huong’s for their wide variety of Phở and have been surprised by their special variations such as crab Phở, or their Bun Bo Hue. Portions are generous, and you are really hungry Huong’s offers even larger portions for $ 1 – 2 more.

Got the bun special– it was BBQ and egg roll. Pretty delicious, and extremely plentiful. The only issue was the server was obviously new and needs some more training– but I am a stickler for exceptional customer service. Would definitely like to be asked if I needed anything more before having my check dropped. Will definitely return.

Friend and I went here for lunch to celebrate the first winter storm watch of the season. The dining room had a warm inviting atmosphere and was half full at 1pm. He had a phở rare steak and I had the vegetable lo mein. The food was hot tasty and well priced. The service was quick and friendly. All nice words so why only four stars? There was only one veggie only option that I could find. Every thing is fairly price so I imagine all you carnivores will give it 5 stars

I went there October 9th on a thursday for my birthday, it didn’t look to busy but people started to trickle in. we ordered phở, eggrolls and curry seafood and meat combination. The eggrolls came out after our meal but it’s okay because it was delicious I wanted to order more. The phở was so good and it had tons of meat in it, and i could barely finish my ex-large bowl but I did because I love phở. my fiancé had the curry seafood/meat combination. We were kind of confused because we’d thought he would have seafood but i guess we read the menu wrong so he got the meat combination stirfry over rice and he didn’t complain because it was delicious! Friendly service. Great food!

Pretty good Vietnamese food, right next door to Kim’s sandwiches. Even the owner of Kim’s was getting takeout from here. No frills, simple Vietnamese food. From phở, to bun bowls, to rice plates. They even had a bun Bo hue special which I’m going to have to return for when they have it again.
