I am kicking myself for not checking Unilocal before I went to these guys. I brought in a couple cushions that I knew were going to be a really simple job. They confirmed that the project was going to be really simple, but that they had a $ 70 minimum. I kind of foolishly agreed to that price (even though it probably should have been cheaper). The man told me it would probably only take a couple hours to complete them, but since he had other items in the queue, we agreed to a 2-​day turnaround.
Not only did he end up charging me $ 20 more (when I brought the fabric in, he balked at the pattern and told me it was going to be extra work to line the pattern up properly), even after I agreed to that, it took them 6 business days to complete the job they told me would only take a couple hours. Even worse, they never bothered to call me to tell me they were running behind. I had to call them. I’m sure my cushions were just sitting in a back room somewhere for most of those 6 days.
When I came in to finally pick them up, I asked if they would cut me a deal on the price since not only had they raised it, they had also failed to deliver on their promise of a 2-​day turnaround. I would have been happy with the smallest amount of a goodwill discount ($ 5, c’mon!) just to make me feel a little better about the situation, but they just flat out told me no. Well then…
Do not take your business here. They suck.

We decided to try them out as we needed to replace the foam in our sofa cushions and they were close by. We hadn’t seen the reviews or we might not have tried them, but were impressed with the knowledgable sales person and they were able to cut and replace the foam in about 2 hours. They fit perfectly back in the sofa. thanks for doing this. We will definitely return

I came in with a weird request. I wanted them to make me 100 small 3.5 inch diameter foam rolls. They were very helpful and gave me a rocking deal. They pumped out my order in a few days and I was set to go.

Took in an old cushion in to have an exact duplicate made. The cushion is triangle shaped with a bumper (part of a yacht dinette) and needed to match the existing cushions. I was told the cushion would be ready on Thursday and they would call me to let me know when to pick it up. After not hearing from them on Thursday, I called Friday morning. They said, «It took longer because we wanted to get it perfect.» Well, it wasn’t perfect. The bumper on the front of the cushion was several inches wider than the original. They remade it, and I picked it the following Monday. I got all the way home on Hayden Island (I-​5 north traffic is horrible) and realized they had made it completely backwards. So back to the shop I went and asked for my $ 85 back. They complied.
Still needing the cushion replaced, I bought the exact foam from Moonhill Distributing for literally half the cost and made the cushion myself. The owner at Moonhill was very personable and helpful. Highly recommend them. The cushion turned out beautifully.

I’ve never had a sales person try so hard not to sell me something. The man who «helped» me was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was looking for a piece of foam to make my dog a new bed and was perfectly prepared to spend $ 50 on a nice piece to help my furry friend get a better nights rest. He told me to go to Fred Meyer. Seriously. Having no idea what my price range was or taking the time to find out he told me it was too expensive for me which was demeaning and insulting. Its too bad for them because we have a collection of MCM furniture that needs reupholstering and new cushions and we most certainly will not be utilizing their services for that now. If you want to argue someone into selling you something then this is your spot. If, like me, you believe in quality service and hospitality then spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.

These fellas have always done a good job at a fair price. Sure the customer service is not exactly warm, but really, do we need warm for upholstery? I think not.

I have had quite a few items upholstered here and had a good experience each time.
They recovered and antique sofa and 2 chairs ($ 2,000 plus fabric), recovered the cushions in my RV ($ 800 plus fabric), and I had a bunch of throw pillows made ($ 200 plus fabric). Each time I purchased the fabric online after getting an estimate from them of how much I would need to do the work requested.
It is not cheap but they do quality work, so it really is for special items you can’t bear to part with. Also it is a small shop and they get busy, so the turn around can take some time.

I brought my two Restoration Hardware pillows to have the feather insert replaced with foam so they would be sturdier and not sink so much. I paid $ 40 per pillow (sale price). I brought them into In-​Ex and explained what I wanted and it seemed like they understood, but when I went to pick them up, they were stiff as a board and the seams were almost bulging from the piece of foam inserted. They were basically unusable for a relaxed linen couch (or pretty much anything IMO). I brought them back, and they basically inserted a filler insert that i probably could have bought for $ 20 — and would not budge on returning the $ 200 I stupidly had already paid.
