Inn at Diamond Cove

My wife and I found this off-​the-​beaten-​path inn on an island off Portland purely by chance when looking for a place to stay other than the typical hotel. We stayed briefly after their peak season ended, and were given an amazing room upgrade as the inn’s business was slow. Customer service was outstanding from the very first phone call through our entire stay. A golf cart picked us up at the ferry landing and transported us to the inn which is a recently remodeled army installation. Accommodations were nothing short of posh, yet the atmosphere was quite relaxed. The surrounding scenery is spectacular, and bikes can be rented at the small general store on the isfland.
The limited menu offered at the Inn is outstanding. Omelets, crab cakes, clam chowder, French toast, lobster rolls all were perfectly prepared.
I expect this place to be booming in the very near future – well, after the Maine snow melts in Spring.
