I got a gift certificate for a haircut from Joanie for christmas. I finally just redeemed it after dragging my feet because I didn’t want to meet a new stylist. Again. She makes me wish I would have gone MUCH sooner! Joanie is fabulous! She made me feel welcome and comfortable and the shop is just amazing! I am so thrilled to find my new happy hair home! I can’t wait to bring my daughter in for her first hair cut because I’m certain she be well taken care of! Thank you Joanie!

I LOVE Joanie! I use her religiously to cut my hair. Not only are her prices ridiculously low, but she knows how to cut hair. I have a really short cut and need it trimmed every two to three weeks. I know Joanie will do her usual fabulous job every time I go in. I recommend her to everyone I know.
Don’t miss out on a great cut. Joanie makes appointments but takes walk-​ins as well. It’s so convenient there’s no reason not to go to her.

She gives a good hair cut. I would say that if you don’t have a ton cash it’s way better to go to Joanie than to roll the dice at Great Clips especially the Great Clips on Farmington Rd in Beaverton. I recently had a terrible cut that left me with crazy bangs and crazy layers. It literally looked like I was suffering from hair loss, I thought maybe I really was. Plus there was nothing I could do to smooth it out. Joanie fixed it and now at least I am back to looking like I have a full head of hair again. I can also straighten it again. She’s careful and subtle with the scissors. I have really short hair but I think she would also be perfect for someone with super long hair who doesn’t want to have his or her hair carelessly chopped off. I would not be afraid to bring in my daughter who has hair down to her rear and a huge phobia of having it cut.

I have been to Pure Joy Salon twice now and have been very pleased. Both times my hair has come out great. I have had a hard time in the past finding a stylist that understands my hair. Joanie took the time to explain to me how my hair would work better for me. Thanks so much. I have found my new Salon.

I bought a coupon on Living Social because being new to the neighborhood I needed a place to get my hair done. The coupon said it was for a conditioning treatment, haircut, and style. Well this place sucked to say the least! Getting an appointment was like pulling teeth, like I was intruding on her (Joanie) schedule! When I finally got in (I was her first appt. of the day) all she talked about was her years of experience at Super Cuts & Great Clips! Yikes!
She conditioned my hair gave me a cut and finger dried my hair. I had to ask for gel! My hair was not styled AT ALL like the coupon said it would be. It was still so wet that I just tied it back up in my car. I went looking for a salon and got a wanna be instead. Way too much Super Cuts/​Great clips mentality and habits left over. I will never go there again.

Just discovered Joanie at Pure Joy today! She’s really great. She fit me in on really short notice and fixed a really disastrous (part-​trendy-​bridgeport-​barber-​shop –inflicted and part-​self-​inflicted-​repair-​job) hair cut in no time flat. She talked to me about what I wanted, what my habits were, and what my hair does naturally and then gave me a great cut. She’s been cutting hair for 29 years, so she really knows hair.
The salon is right in the middle of old-​town Beaverton (close to duh kuh bee and decarli restaurants and beaverton farmer’s market) and is clean and bright. Her prices were amazing. I highly recommend Pure Joy!

I visited Pure Joy Salon for the first time Tuesday and am very happy I did. Joanie provides a wonderful haircut, shampoo with a deep condition treatment and style that cannot be topped. She listened to what I was saying on the style I wanted and the end results were spot on. I have a haircut that I can maintain without taking extra time every morning. Joanie is professional, courteous and friendly and all this at a price that is way below what I have been paying. I will definitely be returning to Pure Joy Salon
