This fabric store is amazing, one of the beast I’ve see in my travels! Current and classic Liberty fabrics, and a great selection of chic sewing patterns and supplies. Very fashion and garment driven, unlike the primarily crafty fabric stores in town. The owners have excellent taste, and the textures and patterns prove it. Definitely impressed and will be going there first from now on!

This is such a gorgeous store. The fabric is gorgeous, the notions are gorgeous, the buttons are gorgeous. I wish my wallet was as gorgeous as the store is, then I could be more of a customer and less of a peruser.
They have a big selection of fancy fabrics: Liberty of London, cashmeres, Italian wools, and so on. They also have higher-​end patterns from small-​scale designers, with many examples worked up and hanging on display (the display dresses are gorgeous, too, in case you couldn’t guess.)
I loved looking through the cases of buttons. They had so many unique ones to choose from! I ended up with just one, a pearly button with a sewing machine on it. It’s very cute, and the only thing wrong with it is finding just the right project to use it on. It’s hard!

Sometimes service and cordiality are lacking in retail establishments — but that is NOT the case at Josephine’s. As you walk in the door you feel that you have been invited into the home of a friend — it is that comfortable. The shop is beautiful, well-​lit, and well laid out, with the exquisite selection of fabrics that I have come to expect with Josephine’s. I am so happy that the shop has been re-​opened. Josephine’s is always such a treat to visit. They have some fine designer fabrics I never see anywhere else and a great selection of different silks (important to me because I work with natural dyes). I’m a novice sewer, but they’ve always been gracious answering all my questions.

I’m really looking forward to the day when I’ve saved up enough pennies to go on a shopping spree here. Though the new space is significantly smaller, I think it’s also significantly cuter, and it’s packed with the beautiful, high-​end fabrics I’ve come to expect from Josephine’s. The owner I spoke with (on a day when I popped in resplendent in sweaty workout clothes) was nothing but friendly and helpful. I’m thrilled they were able to revive such an inspiring business.
