This boutique is more than worth your time and money. Jules and her very experienced sales associates go out of their way to be your own personal shopper by dressing you with only the most flattering styles that will fit your figure to perfection. Her own designs and the fabrics, only found in Morocco will last forever. The cloth is washable and does not fade. The styles are comfortable and fashionable. Everything in the store wears together. You can walk out with 3 or 4 items and have yourself several outfits. You will definitely be AMAZED and far from disappointed! I have been a shopper at this store for several years and the negative reviews are far from the truth. The owner lived in Morocco for 25 years and is far from racist. She is an equal opportunity employer and some of the ladies have been there for as long as I have been shopping there. I’m not sure why someone would want to write such things about someone that I know to be just the opposite. Go in and decide for yourself. You won’t be sorry I assure you.

Jules of Morocco offers beautiful, moderately-priced clothing for women with discerning taste. Jules’ designs are timeless, elegant for any occasion, comfortable and flattering for all figures. The store in Multnomah Village is a neighborhood gem which includes unique accessories that compliment any wardrobe. I have several different ensembles, enjoy packing them for trips to California, Florida and the East Coast. On many occasions I have received compliments regarding the outfits, as well as inquiries regarding where to purchase such unique, lovely clothing. Jules is a savvy, talented business woman with an outstanding eye for design.

I am giving this store a one star review simply because«zero stars» is not an option. A month ago, I had an interview for a part time position at Jules of Morocco. I arrived early, and perused the selection of clothes and jewelry sold at the shop, as I’d never been in before. I was generally unimpressed with the simple, baggy clothing and the overpriced jewelry. There weren’t any customers in the store, and I was eventually greeted by the owner, Julie. Within minutes of meeting me, she whispered«the jews,» «the muslims,» and«the blacks» both derogatorily and appallingly casually in conversation. I truly could not believe it, especially because she had told me she was«just an old hippie» moments before. Having grown up in Portland, I can honestly and sadly say this was the first time I have witnessed such blatant ignorance or racism. I was blown away. I could never work for this woman! There are many locally owned shops in the Portland area and many carry locally-made clothing designs and jewelry. Why buy things imported from a country where children 8 – 15 are working in sweatshops instead of going to school…(or where the owner is incredibly ignorant and racist?) If you’re into awesome jewelry, check out The Gold Door and Presents of Mind – the owners at both stores carry beautiful items and they aren’t racists!

There I am browsing through stuff putting on small talk with the store owner about how I’m new in town and checking places out when she cracks a RACISTCOMMENT and definitely doesn’t stop there… coming from the south, I really didn’t expect mistreatment like this in Portland… quite a welcome. I seriously can’t believe it… and now I see an old review and apparently someone else has had a similar experience… really now? quite a way to do business lady.
