Kadel’s Auto Body NuWay – Downtown

I had a minor scrape from another car side swiping my car.
Safeco suggests Kadel’s and Fix Auto for their guaranteed repair work. It was minor, so I thought. i would just try one of them.
Kadel’s was closest, so I went there. When I called for an appointment, the receptionist was unfriendly. When I showed up at the office, again, she was unfriendly, bordering on rude. The estimator was equally unfriendly, when I put out my hand to shake his when he introduced himself, he didn’t want to shake my hand (because I was female?).
Then after he figured out the estimate he told me that it would be over 11 weeks (almost 3 months) before they could repair my car.
Again, he didn’t want to shake my hand when I was leaving after I booked the repair with him.
I have to say when I called to cancel my appointment with Kadel’s because Fix Auto could get me in 9 weeks sooner, Mel answered the phone and was pleasant and cheery.
Wish everyone was as friendly as Mel.
Wish I would have been told that it would be 3 months before my car could be repaired when I called about. the estimate appointment.

I tore my passenger side mirror nearly off of my car. I called the car dealership, and they quoted me 500 to fix it. I took it to Kadell’s and instead of replacing it (I asked them for any cheaper option) the epoxied it back on, FREE OF CHARGE! The whole thing took about 15 minutes. The wouldn’t let me pay or tip them! THANK YOU MEL AND GABE!!! You turned my day around and you are my number one car shop! I recommend this honest and friendly shop to everyone!

As a 25 year old female I tend to run into things that aren’t moving. They have fixed my car twice in a timely manner and frequently call to update me on the repair status. Everyone at the shop greeted me with a smile and seemed very genuine– they look like they love their job. Will definitely go back the next time I reverse into a pole.

I got in a wreck and needed someplace close to work and a rental car to get the damage fixed. I chose Kadel’s based on the rec of a friend and was VERY happy with the service I received. The tech who handed my repaired car over to me was very helpful in explaining what they had done and even pointed out that someone who had repaired the care prior to me buying it did a shoddy job and they had fixed what they could without incurring too much extra cost and at no charge to me. Everyone from the guy who scheduled my appointment to the guy who gave me my keys… super friendly, professional, and seemed to care. I have sent others here and if I ever need fixed again, they will be at the top of my list.

I was backed into by a woman whose insurance recommended them (plus they are super close to my work). From the beginning they were on top of their game. They arranged the rental car for me, which is conveniently located around the corner. They kept me up to date throughout them having my car and even finished a day early. I also had a scratch on the bumper that was unrelated to the wreck that I was willing to pay to have fixed but they took care of it at no charge! From start to finish they were fantastic and my car looks brand new!

We had a fairly substantial car accident in our neighborhood, the car was no longer drivable — so we asked our insurance agent to arrange a tow to a reputable local body shop.
Kadel’s was recommended by State Farm insurance as a provider they work well with, and pay directly. I was keen to avoid playing middleman between insurance and provider, and needed to head to the hospital so did not have the time to do any research.
What I can say sincerely about Kadels is that their staff was always very friendly and courteous. Aside from good phone manners, the experience was pretty dismal. I was given a $ 3400 estimate — the final bill was over $ 9000, just under the amount that would have been deemed the car totalled. Even if you assume that is not actual robbery, it is at the very least a pretty staggering miss. Dishonest, or incompetent, pick one.
We were originally told the car would be back to us within three weeks. I was given eight different completion dates by four different people, all of which were missed, and zero of which we were ever followed up on. I would be told a date, then would get a cheery email days later telling me that everything is going great, should be ready wednesday by a different person. The car was finally ready two months to the day after it was dropped off.
In short, I would avoid dealing with this company.

Buyer beware! They were friendly, but their work was shoddy. I should have gone to my own choice of a place but went here because it was «approved» by my insurance company. Stuff was missing from my car when I got it back, adhesive that they used was not cleaned up and still all over the car and they straight up didn’t fix part of the agreed-​upon repairs. I should have known and stuck with my gut when I got there. The place looked gettoh and the people working there looked exhausted and «yeah, yeah, yeah. just gimme the keys.» It showed in the quality of their work. Now I have to miss more work to bring my car back in (and pick it back up after) and to go get my stuff they forgot to put back in my car when they were vacuuming. Looks like I get to make that up with more working over the weekend. Thanks Kadel’s. UPDATE: the work they did started falling off the car six months later. Had to go BACK in. Be careful and steer clear of this place.

Unauthorized repairs. Patronizing staff. Deliberately deceived me by not providing me the information requested.
Stay clear of these folks BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!

AWESOME customer service. Dealing with car trouble is the worst and finding someone patient and helpful feels like a godsend in those situations. These guys were just that. I was an idiot who rear-​ended someone, driving my friend’s car. Ugh. I immediately looked up nearby auto body shops and these guys were the closest. I drove in, they made room for me, got right to reshaping the bumper and within 10 minutes, it was as good as new. Seriously couldn’t tell anything had happened. And they didn’t charge me anything — just a nice helpful hand when I was in a bit of a bind. They’ll take care of you for sure.

so after some stupid punks decided that the hood of my car was the perfect spot for them to plant their lavender krylon tag, i was pretty distraught. (i mean, what kind of gangster uses lavender spray paint???)
a friend recommended nu-​way and i hustled right over. the owner himself examined my car and had one of the guys there fix the problem. they removed the paint and even waxed my hood all in under half an hour. best of all, they did it for free! now i know where i’m going if i ever decide to fix the dent some loser at the mall put in my door.
