While I usually like KFC this is one I do not plan to visit again. The management is rude to the point of arrogance. The food was cold and not to the standard that many other KFC’s have. While I like KFC this is one that should be avoided.

Pretty Gross We had never been to the KFC/Taco Bell in Portland IN. It’s one of those places where two fast food places are in one restaurant. We don’t really eat fast food, and never eat at KFC, but will eat at Taco Bell when traveling, but we just hadn’t had occasion to eat there when visiting Portland. We needed a small snack in the middle of the afternoon, so we stopped in. I was kind of surprised that the place was kind of a mess. Walking up to the front doors, the outside of the doors were splattered with some white stuff, giving a first impression that the place wasn’t clean. That continued once inside. There were large chunks of food and debris in the kitchen and dining room, and usually most places will try to at least keep the dining room clean. The whole place just looked dirty, like when they did mop the floors, they just moved the dirt around, and had done so for a long time. The chairs were really tattered and worn. I think that they were in about the worst condition I had ever seen in a restaurant, especially a chain. The food was disappointing as well. I ordered a bean burrito, but instead of the usual red sauce, I asked for green sauce. Every other Taco Bell I’ve been to has had the green sauce. They didn’t seem know what I was talking about, but said I could get it with ranch dressing, so I did. All it seemed to do was add calories and detract from the flavor of a basic bean burrito. There were way too many onions on it as well, which was overpowering. I only ate about half of it. I would recommend skipping this place and trying the Burger King across the street. I think that corporate needs to come inspect this particular franchise.
