The teriyaki and the gyosa are really good. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but, the food is something else. Nothing out of the ordinary, just really good teriyaki.

Make no mistake, this is a bog standard teriyaki lunch joint. But it’s a Korean place so there’s a bit of a twist. One of which is they have the hands-down best chicken katsu plate in town. As far lunch places go, you’ll be hard pressed to beat the value and taste is this family run business. I just wish they served Kim chee!

The soda machine was not working correctly so the drinks were bad. The chicken was ok but overall for the price it was average.

Way below average. In an age where teriyaki joints are everywhere, this place fell way short. Beef was just plain bad. Soda machine was flat… And when I asked about it, I was told it was fine. Yes I love flat diet Pepsi for $ 1.80. Thanks !

Great food. Really nice lady behind the counter. Lunch times are busy but after 2pm you can get your food in no time at all. I love eating here for lunch during work. My favorite dish is the spicy chicken.

There were three people in the otherwise empty restaurant when I made my first visit to Kokiyo today. Despite the staff outnumbering the customers, the restaurant still managed to completely butcher my order of a hot and spicy pork plate and two sides of gyoza. I actually received two sides of gyoza as a plate and an egg roll, which I unfortunately didn’t realize until I got home. When I called to complain I was passed between three different employees and forced to wait about a minute between speaking with each one before I finally hung up out of frustration. The food that I did receive included an egg roll already swimming in sweet and sour sauce so that it was no longer crunchy and cold steamed vegetables. I won’t be returning to eat, but I will stop by to steal one of their bottles of Sriracha to make up for the over five dollars worth of food that I didn’t receive with my order.

I have been eating here for years. Not one bad experience. Probably some of the best teriyaki in town however typical their selection may be. A lil smaller of a seating area but most people are willing to work with you if a seat is needed. Prices are average

Ate another great lunch here today. :) We like to call in our order and walk over to pick it up. Very close to our office. Husband loves their spicy chicken and I like the chicken teriyaki/gyoza. In the past I had their honey chicken bento and that was delish too. I like that you can order most things bento style/smaller portions. The service is quick, the food is tasty. I will continue to grab lunch here!

It was to be expected teriyaki beef. However only one vegitarian option with no real flavor and under cooked tofu.

This has been an office favorite, but two of our employees got violently sick from their teriyaki meals yesterday. Not so sure now…

I like to get take-out here on a lunch break. Some things that contribute to 5 stars: They are friendly over the phone. My order is ready when I get there and hot! They are friendly when I get there. The chicken is really good! The sauce is also really good. I ask for extra veggies and I actually get them. They are bright and steamed perfectly! The prices are low and the portions are huge. I can usually get 2 meals out of the teriyaki chicken if I’m having high self esteem. Many people on here are describing the atmosphere as pretty much the essence of strip mall teriyaki… which is fitting for reviewing a strip mall teriyaki joint.

Slowest service ever. Also mixes up and makes orders wrong. Food is decent which is why it gets 2 stars but otherwise its a 1 because it shouldn’t repeatedly take 30 mins or more for chicken.

I never liked this place much. I always preferred Du’s teriyaki. They also took forever to cook the food. I will say, their teriyaki burger was pretty tasty, I ordered that one a lot. But taking upwards of 10 minutes to get it ready for me? Nah…

I love this place, It is super close to my work. what do you expect for a hole in the wall teriyaki joint? Pricing isn’t too bad either. They give you huge portions. I even have a hard time finishing my bento. I have tried almost everything there and liked it all accept for the burgers. The fries are good, crinkly, and crisp and they have ranch to dip them in if you like that and if you ask. You may want to share them with someone for they give you a lot. Yumm! ^_^

BACKGROUND — Bentos are delicious because they are hot, tasty and relatively simple. It’s a black and white kind of food; you pick your protein, the protein is usually marinated in a house teriyaki sauce and cooked to order. You get your slab of veggies and a serving of rice. Bento is universal. PROS — Close to my work and coworkers are constantly calling in their orders and picking it up. The staff are very friendly people. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and beef combo. Good chicken! Not so great beef. CONS — The teriyaki beef in my combo was too salty, chewy and not«lean cut» as promised in the menu description. Don’t order the beef! POINTERS — Will probably go again as it is very close to my work and the chicken was tasty.

These guys are alright — it’s typical teriyaki fare and a longtime chain in the Portland metro area. I used to hit up the Hillsboro one on Cornell Road all the time several years ago and loved the food and value. This one… not so impressed. The teriyaki chicken and gyoza are just fine, but a combo with that and a regular soft drink runs over $ 9. Really? Mashita Teriyaki in Tualatin offers the same combo for $ 4.99. And they’re way better. Like I said, flavor-wise it’s good, but it’s not outstanding and it’s quite expensive for regular teriyaki. Skip this one and take the trip to Tualatin to hit up Mashita. It’s fantastic. And easier on your wallet.
