This is for the Vancouver Ave location. I spilled my soup and they replaced it for free. That’s how you get 5 stars. Oh yeah — and the soup was BOMB. Perfect for cold day.

Usually very good service and the food is very good. I went there a few times every week last year, but this year they seem unable to close at the time it says they do. I’ve been trying for the past two weeks to go, but every day they close anywhere between 3:00 — 3:30 instead of 4:00 which makes it impossible for me to go

I ordered the tom kha, and it was really really delicious. It’s not spicy, just a very slight kick. I think what makes this a little special is the addition of fish(or possibly oyster) sauce. It really takes the soup up a notch. And for $ 5, I was really pleased.

As a noodle lover and self-proclaimed aficionado, the noodles here are pretty good. I wouldn’t call them the best noodles, the highest quality noodles, or the tastiest noodles, but I would call them the most reliable noodles. And that’s why they’re getting 4 out of 5 stars. Since I work super close to this cart, I stop by here a lot, as in more often than I would like to admit to you or myself. The noodles are really cheap– $ 6! and taste pretty good 100% of the time. I always order the pad kee mao, which I assume is a pretty popular menu item since it’s on the«Quick Order» menu. Something I always look for in a good pad kee mao is durability in the noodle, crunch in the veggies, and a decent/light sauce. The pad kee mao here has all these things, and honestly, for $ 6, the durability in the noodle is good enough to keep me coming back. Isn’t it the worst when you order noodles and there are just little bits of noodles on your plate, and no actual whole noodle? Let’s not even go there. The people who work here are super nice and the service is pretty quick, even when it’s 12:30pm on a Wednesday and the line is 15 khaki slacks deep. This place is no Baan Thai, but unfortunately for me, Baan Thai is pretty inconveniently located. So in the mean, I’ll be stickin’ with Lai Tai.

This is for the 3441 N Vancouver Ave Lai Thai food cart at N Fremont and N Vancouver Ave. My daughter and I have had the Pad Thai, shrimp salad rolls as well as thai iced tea. All were excellent. Salad rolls are huge at a great price, $ 3.50. Thai style iced tea 20 oz, $ 2. Chicken pad thai $ 7. Good portion size for the price, quick service and you can call ahead and order and pick up. 503−360−8647. Hours at this location M-F 11:00 am — 7:30 pm. Go there!

Not so good. Ordered Pad Thai. Portions large, but all noodles. Tiny bit of chicken. Tiny bit of sprouts. Tin bit of flavor. I try not to judge a place by it’s pad that as it is typically the most gringo-fied thing on the menu. Maybe that was the problem here.

Nice people. Good food. I didn’t have high expectations, I was in a hurry and it was by my hotel. Good flavors, what I ordered wasn’t super spicy. It could have used more spice. They service was quick and I paid $ 6 for a huge amount of food. I would definitely go back. My colleague had the chicken zucchini, and that was very spicy. Big whole chili peppers.

I’ve heard good things about this cart but have not had any luck there. The 1st time I ordered my dish extra spicy, it came out extra mild. On my 2nd visit, my wife and ordered together(Pad See Ewe), one mild one extra spicy, they gave us two mediums.
